Cricut Country Life

August 26, 2010

I was looking through my Gypsy deciding what Cartridge to play with for today’s video and couldn’t help but to play with the County Life Cartridge again.

My MIL’s birthday is coming up and she loves to cook and bake so I thought this apron would be perfect for her. Yes I know…I keep making birthday cards for family. I have 8 birthday’s in a months time. They start on Aug 20th with my dad and sister and end on Sept 21st with my older brother. Friday is my niece, Tuesday is my mom and then I have a break for 9 days. It’s like a birthday marathon around here.

Anyway back to today’s card…

supplies: Cricut Expression, Cricut Country Life Cartridge, Cricut Gypsy, Fly A Kite (October Afternoon), Cream Cardstock, Hawaiian Breeze and Simply Chartreuse Cardstock (Paper Trey Ink), Ribbon (Hobby Lobby), Family and Friends Stamp Set (My Pink Stamper).

Thursday Expressions-Masculine Card

August 12, 2010

Happy Thursday…..

I’m calling this one
“Tim Holtz meets Mickey and Friends”

Today’s card I winged. I knew I was making a card for my Dad and that I wanted to use a car. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do and ended up making a 30 minutes long video at 10pm last night (evidence in my video. lol). There was lots of talking to myself and tossing papers around my room.  Eventually I made a card that I’m kinda happy with….

Supplies: Cricut expression, Cricut Gypsy, Cricut Mickey and Friends Cartridge, Zig 2-way glue pen, Quickstik Pen, Tweezers, EK Success Ticket Punch, Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper pad, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, Black Paper Trey Ink Cardstock.

Here is a picture of today’s card….

Have a great Thursday….

Update on my Copic image….

June 8, 2010

Hi all,

The other day I posted a picture of a downloaded stamp that I purchased from The Greeting Farm . I had a great time playing with my Copics. (click here to see my post and the maker #’s I used)….
Here are a few pictures of a card that I made using the image I colored.
The pattern paper is from K&Co (you know how I love K&CO) sorry I don’t remember what collection…I used the Label 3 Nestabilities for the frame and a Prima flower for a little accent on on my card. The “Thank You” sentiment is from MyPinkStampers newest stamp collection…I used my Stampin’ Up word window punch with the modern label punch on the sentiment….
Friday is my birthday and like last year I would like to do a little giveaway to celebrate. It may not necessarily be on Friday, since I’m swamped at work this week and don’t know if I’ll get out to purchase my giveaway…so stay tuned…
Hope you are having a great day….
Hugs,

Happy Birthday Princess Card

June 6, 2010

Today we are using the SCAL2 software with a Cutting Cafe file…One of my YouTube followers suggested a software for capturing your desktop. Thank You Thank You Thank You…So much better than pointing the camera at the monitor…..I’m only concerned the volume at the beginning isn’t going to be loud enough. Let me know….;0) If it is really hard to hear, put on some earphones…that will help

Here is today’s card. I’m using the Crown Assortment set from The Cutting Cafe’. I really had fun putting this card together. I think I channeled Regina when I made this card. She is so super talented…I’m honored to be on her video design team…

I decided to show how to make this card an A2 size card, just to show you how…I hope I helped some of you learn a little more about SCAL and what you can do with it….I’m certainly not an expert, but I’m learning….

If you don’t have SCAL and would still like to use some of the TCC cutting files,  you can just print the PDF version of the file and hand cut the images….

Have a great Sunday….

Birthday Card

April 30, 2010

I’m still trying to get a new stash of cards ready for birthday’s. I like to have them ready for when that birthday sneaks up on me. They do seem to come around fast.

Today’s card was a fun one to make…I used the All Occasions Banner set from The Cutting Cafe’ and Love it. Regina just has some amazing digital stamps on her website. There is something for every occasion.

Birthday Card

April 14, 2010

Hi All,
A friend at work asked if I would make him a birthday card for his niece. Sometimes I find it really hard to create something girlie. I think it’s because I’m the only girl in the house and when I shop for paper I don’t buy pink, It’s always green and blue. Well…Blue is my favorite color :0)

Anyway here is today’s card. I really like how it came out.

supplies: Cricut expression, A Child’s Year Cartridge, Corner Chomper, Vintage Cream PTI cardstock, Bazzill brown cardstock, Small Wonders Girl K&Co Designer mat pad, Stampin’ Up! On your birthday stamp set, Small Oval punch, Scallop Oval (SU) punch, Spring Moss Satin Ribbon, Vintage Cream PTI Hybrid Ink, Chocolate chip (SU) Ink, Recollection Pearls.

Have a great Wednesday!

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
