Dad’s Day Card and video

June 6, 2011

Hi Everyone,
What a fast weekend that was, I worked for a few hours yesterday so I can take Friday off for a trip to Hobby Lobby.  It’s kind of a tradition for Mom, Ethan and I to make a trip to Easton in June. Also I wanted to have a long weekend since Saturday is my birthday 🙂

UPDATE: HERE is the link to the instructions on  putting the Cricut Cartridges on your Ipad.

Saturday I got a head start on my Father’s day cards. This is one is for my Dad. Do you want to know it took me two hours to come up with this. I was struggling with what colors to use on a masculine card…
OK here we go…We’re using Elegant Edges and Designers Calendar Cricut cartridges today…

Supplies: Smokey Gray Cardstock (Paper Trey Ink), Hattie Pattern Paper (My Minds Eye), Postage Stamp Punch (Fiskars), Black Brads, Satin Ribbon (?), Designers Calendar Cricut Cartridge, Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge, Cricut Expression 2, Cricut Gypsy.

Have a great Monday and see you back here tomorrow…

Happy Happy Monday

May 9, 2011

Hi
I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother’s Day Weekend. Yesterday we went out to dinner with my mom, Scott’s parents, and Scott’s brothers family. It was such a nice time. I really enjoyed it. Thanks Scott and Ethan for a wonderful Mother’s Day.

Last night I realized I never made any videos for this coming week. I think I needed the weekend to relax after the two week marathon of video making :). Glad to be back to my normal schedule….I really struggled on what to make until I came across the book feature on Elegant Edges. I really like all those shapes and welding them together to make a card base makes this cartridge even more versatile.

Here is your video for today…

Supplies:
Cardstock: Black (Paper Trey Ink), White (Neenah); Pattern Paper: October Afternoon (Modern Homemaker), Stamps: Fillable Frames #1 and #10 (Paper Trey Ink); Ribbon: Black Stitched (Paper Trey Ink); Misc. ATG Gun, Fountain Pen Ink (Jenni Bowlin), Cough Syrup Ink (Jenni Bowlin), Bumpy Road Punch (EK Success)

Have a great day
Hugs and happy crafting,

Party Dress (Elegant Edges & Kate’s ABCs)

April 8, 2011

Woohooo It’s Friday,

I cannot wait for the weekend to officially begin. We might even have nice weather too. 70’s on Sunday…
Last week I posted how much I love Elegant edges and Kate’s ABCs and I couldn’t wait to play with them. I don’t know about you but when I get a new cartridge there is always one or two images that pop out at me and I just have to use them first. The dress and the shoes are what popped out first for me. I keep picturing this card done in Graphic 45 paper and some pretty lace…I may have to try that this weekend…

Here is our card/video for today…

Isn’t that the cutest dress…

I’ll be announcing the winners of the Cricut for Beginnners DVD this weekend…Click HERE to enter the giveaway 🙂

Hugs and happy,

Scrapbook Challenge #4-April

April 4, 2011

Hi Everyone,
Ready for this months Scrapbook Challenge?
Here’s mine…This is from last spring when we set up the trampoline for Ethan.

I really enjoyed making this page….
If you are looking for some great tutorials on how to make your own photo collage, Kristina Werner did one not to long ago (HERE).

For those of you that are new to my site…Somewhere around the beginning of each month I post a challenge for a scrapbook page. It can be a 12×12, 8×8, 8-1/2 x11, single page, double page or even a mini album. There isn’t a sketch to follow, colors you have to use or anything like that. It’s just a way for us to work on a little scrapbooking and share what we love to do. Each challenge I will have a link so you can  share your finished scrapbook project. Just upload it to your blog, Facebook page, or favorite message board and link it below…
That’s it…Just some scrapbooking fun…

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
