Happy Father’s Day

June 19, 2011

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to pop in and wish all those DAD’s out there a Happy Father’s Day. Especially to my hubby (Scott), my dad, and my father-in-law,

Happy Father’s Day!
I have two more Father’s Day cards to share. These are the cards that Ethan and I gave to Scott….Both cards are Kristina Werner inspired cards.

This one is Ethan’s card to Scott, I used my new Silhouette to cut the card. “World’s Best” is so tiny and it cut out beautifully. I want to send out a huge thank you to Teri (my SBFF) for helping me yesterday…We chatted on the phone for a while and she helped me so much learn the machine and the software. Thank you Sis! Check out Teri’s blog for some great Silhouette info…She’s been having so much fun with her machine.

Have a great Sunday and a Happy Father’s Day

Dad’s Day Card and video

June 6, 2011

Hi Everyone,
What a fast weekend that was, I worked for a few hours yesterday so I can take Friday off for a trip to Hobby Lobby.  It’s kind of a tradition for Mom, Ethan and I to make a trip to Easton in June. Also I wanted to have a long weekend since Saturday is my birthday 🙂

UPDATE: HERE is the link to the instructions on  putting the Cricut Cartridges on your Ipad.

Saturday I got a head start on my Father’s day cards. This is one is for my Dad. Do you want to know it took me two hours to come up with this. I was struggling with what colors to use on a masculine card…
OK here we go…We’re using Elegant Edges and Designers Calendar Cricut cartridges today…

Supplies: Smokey Gray Cardstock (Paper Trey Ink), Hattie Pattern Paper (My Minds Eye), Postage Stamp Punch (Fiskars), Black Brads, Satin Ribbon (?), Designers Calendar Cricut Cartridge, Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge, Cricut Expression 2, Cricut Gypsy.

Have a great Monday and see you back here tomorrow…

Happy Father’s Day

June 20, 2010

Happy Father’s Day to all our dates out there…..

Thought today I would share a picture of the guys in my life…..

Scott is such a wonderful husband and an even more wonderful DAD. He is absolutely my best friend….I love you honey…..Happy Father’s Day!

And my dad….He’s been through a lot over the past few years, but he’s still smiling (ok I had to go back all the way to Christmas to find a picture of my dad where he isn’t sticking his tongue out). Happy Father’s Day dad…We love you very much…..

and then there is my father-in-law. I can’t say enough good things about my in-laws. They really are the best….We love you grandma and grandpa….

Happy Father’s Day…..

Father’s Day Card

May 20, 2010

Hi all….
I’m a little beat this week. I might only have one “Just Because Cards” video this week. I try to post them on Monday’s and Thursdays, but this week is just getting away from me…Not that I’m complaining….LOL

Tonight my hubby and I are going to a program at the library on John Updike….It’s being filmed to air on PCN sometime in the fall…Next weekend we have a fundraiser at the library. It’s a block party and Brian Baumgartner (Kevin) from the “Office” will be there. The Office is based on Scranton, Pa. Yep right here where I live and work….Every once in a while we have guest appearances from “The Office” cast.

Anyway back to crafting…
Last weekend at AcMoore I found the new Tim Holtz embossing folders. Had to tear into them as soon as I got them in the door.

Here’s a card I made for my dad for father’s day. He loves to play Bingo.

Supplies: Cordinations Cardstock, Kraft Paper Trey Ink Cardstock, Ripe Avocado Satin Ribbon by Paper Trey Ink, Pink Paisley Brad, Tim Holtz Embossing Folder, Inkadinkado Stamps, Stapler, Tim Holtz, Black Soot Distress Ink.

Friday Update

June 19, 2009

Happy Friday,

We leave on Sunday for Disney. YEAH!!!! I’m so excited for our son to take his first plane trip and his first trip to Disney. Family friends have given him maps and books and he has everything planned out where we’re going when we get there. I can’t wait for him to see Disney, he’ll be blown away. Just thinking about not having my computer with me to blog and check the Cricut MB is killing me, but I know for sure I will be on my work email making sure everything is running smooth while I’m gone. So Bertha (that’s the name I gave my laptop) will be staying home, but my mom will come by everyday to visit her and feed our precious little kitty Paige.

Some of you may have been having problems getting to my blog via the blogspot.com URL. It’s because I have my own domain name and blogger has been having problems redirecting the blogspot.com to my .com page. I was happy to find out it’s not just me and is a system problem. Thank goodness.

Now about this card. Does it look like a shirt? or pajamas? It was meant to be a shirt, but I’m thinking it looks like a pair of jammies my dad has. Ha!!!! I found a video how to do this on You Tube and she didn’t post the instructions but I figured it out. What do you think cute?

Have a great Friday!
Happy Crafting

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
