Here is today’s Stampin’ On Friday video. I got the Newsprint Background Stamp from PTI a while ago and saved if for when I needed to make a masculine card, but after playing with it I can see lots of other ways to use this stamp set.

Happy Happy Monday

May 9, 2011

Hi
I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother’s Day Weekend. Yesterday we went out to dinner with my mom, Scott’s parents, and Scott’s brothers family. It was such a nice time. I really enjoyed it. Thanks Scott and Ethan for a wonderful Mother’s Day.

Last night I realized I never made any videos for this coming week. I think I needed the weekend to relax after the two week marathon of video making :). Glad to be back to my normal schedule….I really struggled on what to make until I came across the book feature on Elegant Edges. I really like all those shapes and welding them together to make a card base makes this cartridge even more versatile.

Here is your video for today…

Supplies:
Cardstock: Black (Paper Trey Ink), White (Neenah); Pattern Paper: October Afternoon (Modern Homemaker), Stamps: Fillable Frames #1 and #10 (Paper Trey Ink); Ribbon: Black Stitched (Paper Trey Ink); Misc. ATG Gun, Fountain Pen Ink (Jenni Bowlin), Cough Syrup Ink (Jenni Bowlin), Bumpy Road Punch (EK Success)

Have a great day
Hugs and happy crafting,

Mother’s Day Card

May 7, 2011

Hi All,

Ethan came home today with a card he made at school for Mother’s Day. Ethan being Ethan not only made the card to me, he made it for his Grandma’s and aunts too. I think we need to share it 🙂 He is just the sweetest kid ever…I’ll post a picture of the card later this weekend 🙂

Thought I would share a quick post on a card I made for Mother’s Day. I was in the mood to do a little stamping.

I used the Flower Fusion #2 (Paper Trey Ink) stamp set and die to create the flower. I’ve been getting a lot of use out of this set of stamps. The sentiment is from Fillable Frame’s #4 (Paper Trey Ink).

The card is a standard A2 size card with several layers. I wasn’t worried about how heavy the card was since I knew I was going to be hand delivering it to my mother-in-law.

Pattern Paper: Thrift Shop (6×6 pad October Afternoon)
