#1 Birthday Card with Cricut Expression 2

May 13, 2011

Blogger was down for a little and deleted my post from yesterday 🙁 I will take this time to update you and let you know that I updated the listings under Cricut up above…If you are looking for a project I’ve done using a particular Cricut cartridge or need some inspiration using a cartridge, just click on “Cricut” up above. I don’t have all the cartridges but you can at least see what I do have and what I’ve used for different projects. Now on to yesterday’s post/project

Here is a card I made for my nephew’s birthday using the award tag from the Just A Note Cartridge.
I’m having so much fun playing with my Cricut Expression 2.

Enjoy and have a great weekend 🙂
Hugs and happy crafting,

Happy Happy Monday

May 9, 2011

Hi
I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother’s Day Weekend. Yesterday we went out to dinner with my mom, Scott’s parents, and Scott’s brothers family. It was such a nice time. I really enjoyed it. Thanks Scott and Ethan for a wonderful Mother’s Day.

Last night I realized I never made any videos for this coming week. I think I needed the weekend to relax after the two week marathon of video making :). Glad to be back to my normal schedule….I really struggled on what to make until I came across the book feature on Elegant Edges. I really like all those shapes and welding them together to make a card base makes this cartridge even more versatile.

Here is your video for today…

Supplies:
Cardstock: Black (Paper Trey Ink), White (Neenah); Pattern Paper: October Afternoon (Modern Homemaker), Stamps: Fillable Frames #1 and #10 (Paper Trey Ink); Ribbon: Black Stitched (Paper Trey Ink); Misc. ATG Gun, Fountain Pen Ink (Jenni Bowlin), Cough Syrup Ink (Jenni Bowlin), Bumpy Road Punch (EK Success)

Have a great day
Hugs and happy crafting,

Cricut Expression 2: Episode #6 Connecting the Gypsy

May 5, 2011

Hi All,
Here is the last video in the series. This video will cover how to use your Gypsy with your Cricut Expression 2. Remember you need to update both your Cricut Expression 2 and your Gypsy to make it work.

Looking forward to working on some projects and getting back to my regular posting/video schedule. To many videos the past two weeks and it takes time to make, edit, upload and post, so I’m ready for my regular schedule.
Hugs and happy crafting,

Cricut Expression 2: Episode #4 Tools Icon (Part 2)

May 4, 2011

Happy Wednesday,

Today is #4 in the Cricut Expression 2 series. We will continue to go over the Tools Icon and learn about  how to change the mat size of your project, changing the paper size, start position, and center point.

Enjoy today’s video and I’ll be back tomorrow with the final two videos in the series.

Some questions answered:
Do you always have to use another mat? It depends…the machine determines if the size is too big for it to fit on one mat and will automatically transfer the next image over to another mat.

What’s the difference between the E2 and the Gypsy? The E2 doesn’t have the ability to weld, move images anywhere you want on the screen, or store your cartridges. Although those capabilities are not available now the E2 is 100% upgradable and you never know what they will add.

Can you use the Jukebox? I’m not sure, I will have to find that out. Someone commented that they saw on HSN that yes you can…

Will you show how to use the Gypsy with the E2? Yep, coming in a video tomorrow.

Will the E2 be available again? From what I understand yes, but it might not have the 4 cartridges pre-loaded on the machine.

When is WiFi coming out? I read it’s coming out in the fall.

Will I be doing anything for National Scrapbook Day? No, I celebrate World Cardmaking Day in October. I plan on scrapping the day away on Saturday. I think it’s going to rain too, another reason to stay in and play.

Hugs and happy crafting,

Cricut Expression 2: Episode #1 Getting Started

May 2, 2011

Happy Monday Everyone,
What a fabulous weekend, Friday I went to the Circus with Ethan’s class and it was so much fun. I tell you though, I was happy not to hear “Mrs. Thomas, can I…” (go to the bathroom, get a snack, buy a toy, what time does it start, what time is it over, can I have cotton candy)…We had a blast!

Anyway since I got my Cricut Expression 2 I’ve been working on videos for you all. I tell you I’m more in love with this machine than I was when I watched the videos and saw the announcement from CHA!
Enjoy the first episode in the Cricut Expression 2 video series….

I’ll be back tonight to announce the winner of the Disney Pixar Blog Hop giveaway from Friday 🙂
Have a great Monday and see you tomorrow for more CE2 videos….

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
