Cricut Expression 2: Episode #4 Tools Icon (Part 2)

May 4, 2011

Happy Wednesday,

Today is #4 in the Cricut Expression 2 series. We will continue to go over the Tools Icon and learn about  how to change the mat size of your project, changing the paper size, start position, and center point.

Enjoy today’s video and I’ll be back tomorrow with the final two videos in the series.

Some questions answered:
Do you always have to use another mat? It depends…the machine determines if the size is too big for it to fit on one mat and will automatically transfer the next image over to another mat.

What’s the difference between the E2 and the Gypsy? The E2 doesn’t have the ability to weld, move images anywhere you want on the screen, or store your cartridges. Although those capabilities are not available now the E2 is 100% upgradable and you never know what they will add.

Can you use the Jukebox? I’m not sure, I will have to find that out. Someone commented that they saw on HSN that yes you can…

Will you show how to use the Gypsy with the E2? Yep, coming in a video tomorrow.

Will the E2 be available again? From what I understand yes, but it might not have the 4 cartridges pre-loaded on the machine.

When is WiFi coming out? I read it’s coming out in the fall.

Will I be doing anything for National Scrapbook Day? No, I celebrate World Cardmaking Day in October. I plan on scrapping the day away on Saturday. I think it’s going to rain too, another reason to stay in and play.

Hugs and happy crafting,

Thanks again Christina. I am anxiously awaiting the Gypsy connection. I upgraded my Gypsy and sometimes the connection to E2 works, and sometimes not. Do I need to connect my E2 to the computer and update it like I did my G?

Thank you Christina for taking the time to answer our questions. I received my E2 on Monday, I haven't had a chance to open the box. I'm feeling like tonight might be the night.

Hello Christina, I was wondering if I could turn off my light, thanks. You did answered more of my questions today. I still have plenty more lol. I'll be working on some tags with a friend, but I think I'll be using my Expression. I know what I am doing. With the E2 I forget everything. I am looking forward to seeing how you would cut an image that has 4 or 5 layers. Curious to see how you place the paper and if you have to size each piece of paper. Love you Christina! Great JOB!!! dendearmas@aol.com

I had no desire to buy the E2 after the Cricut and other demos, but after watching your videos I now know I NEED to buy one.

Thanks for all the E2 videos, Christina! They are so very helpful. I have taken my E2 out of the box but that's as far as I've gotten! :)I see on http://www.cricut.com that the E2 will start shipping May 16 at a price of $349 and is preloaded with the same cartridges that came with the one we all got from HSN. Anyway, thanks for all the information you've shared!

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
