ProMarkers Tutorial

October 30, 2010

Updated to answer a few questions:
1. What paper did I use? Neenah Cardstock, it’s my favorite when working with markers like ProMarker and Copic.
2. Can you refill ProMarkers? I checked around and I don’t see that you can refill these markers.
3. How do I like them compared to Copic? To be honest these are right up there with Copic and the price is much less. $1.49 as compared to Copic at $3.95 for Sketch or $2.79 for Caio.

Hi All,
So a few weeks ago I was contact by Letraset, the company that makes ProMarkers to try them out. I’ve seen a video here and there of others using them and thought they looked pretty cool. They are really awesome. I love love love the fine point for coloring, I feel like I have more control over the marker.
Here’s a video on a stamped image I was working on…

Here is a card I made using the image I colored with the ProMarkers….

Supplies:
Image Supplies: Jilian Roberts-Stampavie Clear Stamp, Momento Black Ink
ProMarkers: Forest Green, Ruby Red, Mustard, Sandstone,
Meadow Green, Pale Pink, Pale Blue,
Card supplies:
Basic Grey: Jovial 6×6 paper pad, Jovial Glazed Brads
Eline Prima Flowers, Old Paper Distress Ink, New Leaf PTI cardstock
white Georgia Pacific Cardstock,
Lindy Stamp Gang: Starburst Sprays Poincianan Red Flame, Cocoa Bean Ocean

Here are a few places you can order ProMarkers:
In the US www.CarpeDiemeStore.com
In the UK they are available right from www.letraset.com

Today’s video features the Cricut Gypsy for the Gypsy Spot challenge site and the Cricut Christmas Solution Cartridge. This is a real simple card and as usual I had a little trouble tying a bow.

Here’s the video:
I’ll be back tomorrow with a Wild Card Series video. Have a great day.

Christmas Gift Packaging

December 7, 2009

Happy Monday,

This week’s Gypsy Spot challenge is Christmas gift packaging.
I used Cricut cartridge “Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More” and the “Christmas” solutions cartridge to make the gift box. I created the window on the gift box using the the tree from the “Christmas” cartridge and added acetate that I ran through my Big Shot with the Cuttlebug embossing folder “Snow Dots”. I also added a tag from the “Very Merry Tags” solution cartridge and dressed it up a little with some bling.
Supplies: Cricut Gypsy, Cricut Expression, Cricut cartridges-Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more, Christmas and Very Merry Tags; Pattern Paper-K&Co.; Ribbon-Paper Trey Ink, Acetate-Transparency sheets; Bling
Have a great Monday,

Money Card Holder

November 30, 2009

Hey Everyone,

My oldest niece and nephews want cash this year for Christmas. They are growing up too fast. It was only 14 years ago that my niece was a flower girl at my wedding and now she’s learning how to drive.
Today’s Gypsy Spot challenge was to create something with a snowman and/or snowflake. Well since I’m giving cash this year, I thought this challenge was a perfect time to make money card holders.
I love using UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) on my projects and not too long ago I found a great video tutorial at apieceofcraftdotcom on how to add glitter to UTEE. Her technique was on Prima flowers, but you can certainly do this on anything you cut out from your Cricut.
I’m sure you all need a video fix, so here you go…..
Thanks for watching and I hope to be back later this week with a Wild Card Series video.
Hugs,

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
