Receipt Holder

October 11, 2010

Hi Everyone,
What a fantastic weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful….Saturday we watched one of our nieces play soccer and then did a little halloween custom shopping. Ethan decided to be a ninja this year….

Today’s my Design Team project for BlueMoonScrapping. I used the 7 Gypsy receipt holder, I think this is gonna look great in my kitchen with pictures or notes (or receipts). I tried not to really glue anything down to the tray since I’m thinking I can certainly change out the papers for holidays. I hope you like it…

Cri-Kits Embosser~Video #2

July 19, 2010

Hi All,
I spent some time this weekend preparing projects for Cri-Kits CHA booth. Cri-Kits will be at the Craft Edge booth….

Here is a video on one of my projects…

and a picture…

Also here are a few photos to another project I made using the $1.00 chalkboards you can get at AcMoore. I love how this came out…I used the Cri-Kit pens.
What I love about the pens is you can take a Cricut image that doesn’t have layers and use your design studio or gypsy to create your outlines of the images you want to use. Like the pencil and apple. I just used the Hide Contour feature to remove the lines and stitching on one page and then created another page with the lines and stitching that would be written with my pens.

Have a great day…Hugs,

Desk Organizer

June 28, 2010

Monday? Already?

My project this weekend was this desk organizer. I found it at AcMoore in the wood section a few weeks ago…I need something by my computer to hold pens and notebooks and other little office stuff that I seem to keep misplacing on my desk.

First I white washed it with white acrylic paint and water. After that I covered it with Pink Paislee’s Queen Bee collection. I love darker colors…more rustic looking….

At first I didn’t know how I was going to dress this up. It was one of those things that I had to keep moving stuff around to figure out what I was going to do. I had to walk away and it wasn’t until 9:30 last night that I finally was happy with how it was coming together.
The below picture shows some of the punch outs that coordinate with the Queen Bee collection. The pearls are from Prima’s E-Line Collection.

and for the bottom front of the organizer I used the coordinating Queen Bee Ribbon (it’s hard to see in the below picture). I was digging through some of my Prima Flowers and came across these really pretty orange, green, blue and pink flowers that I got at Michael’s a while back.
I think it gave it the perfect pop of color.

I really enjoy making altered projects. I found this really neat wooden box that is going to be really fun to alter. I think it would be perfect for holding a mini album. Since I’m on vacation next week with no plans of going away (other than a few day trips here and there), I can maybe work on a mini and alter the box too. I hope you all have a great day.
Supplies:
Pink Paislee Queen Bee Collection (ribbon, punchouts and paper)
Prima Flowers (these aren’t the ones I used, but I think they are neat)
Prima E-line Bling
White Acrylic Paint with water
paint brush-I prefer the Simply Simmons brushes

Canvas Picture Frame

April 12, 2010

I can’t believe it’s Monday already 🙁 boy how the weekend flies when your having crafty fun!

I worked on this yesterday. I was inspired by this when I saw Jade from JadedStudios (YouTube) make one using Graphic 45 paper. I’m not a vintage kinda girl, but I love how hers came out! Here is my version.

Did lots of shopping this weekend. I was a very bad girl. Let’s see stopped at the LSS and picked up some of the new Basic Grey Kioshi line and also Pink Paisley’s Queen Bee line and a few other things. Then we went to Michael’s and had a field day in the dollar section:) I love the dollar section:0). Then yesterday I ran to Michael’s again just to pick up two more canvases and came home with two new Cricut Cartridge, Just Because and Robotz. Oh how I want to go back and get Nursery Rhymes.

Last night I added some of my latest cards and projects to my Etsy store. Including some of the flowers I made for this frame.

To place and order email me at creationswithchristina@yahoo.com  (instead of Etsy) I need to charge more for the flowers on Etsy because of the fees, but it you email me directly the price will be lower. They come as a set of 4 for 6.00 plus s&h. Colors I have available are….off white, pink, purple, orange, green, and blue. Most of these colors can be made in a lighter and darker shade.

Have a great Monday!

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders .
