Sweet Treats Video Series #2

January 21, 2010

Today we are working on the Party Favor function key for Cricut’s Sweet Treats cartridge. I made this for my son’s birthday party which will be next month. I won’t make these all until February, but at least I know what I’m gonna do.

Enjoy

Christmas with the Cricut~Home Decor

November 3, 2009

Today is Home Decor with Christmas with the Cricut.
Like I said yesterday, Christmas is my all time favorite holiday:)
I had so much fun making this advent calendar. I remember as a kid getting so excited about Christmas, and fighting with my brother and sister on who’s turn it was to open the little doors on our advent calendar.
Memories………

There was so much I wanted to show you with this project, that I had to make a video.
Thanks for watching!
Head on over to Teri’s blog to see what she’s done for home decor. She is amazing!
Supplies: Cricut Cartridge (Winter woodland, Storybook) pattern paper (Paper Loft); chipboard (DCWV); brads, button, and grommets (misc), Top Note Die (SU), Binder Rings (Staples), UTEE, ribbons and thread, Clasp (Tim Holtz), and Cardstock (SU and Bazzill)

Another Winter Woodland House

August 17, 2009

I can’t stop making these, they are just so cute. The Winter Woodland cartridge is the best. The 3D houses are just so darling and come in 6 different sizes. There are also 3D trees and a 3D snowman. Someone had asked where I got the cartridge, I called ACmoore…they are not on the shelves yet (at least not at my store), but they have them in back. YEAH!!

For this one I took the time to dress it up. I used white embossing powder on the black cardstock so it looks like snow had fallen. I still want to add some transparency paper to the windows and someone had mentioned adding one of those little battery operated candles inside. Wouldn’t that be so sweet.

and these trees are just darling too. I added some of Stampin’ Up’s dazzling diamonds glitter to these. I may still add some to the snow on the roof. Sorry the picture of this is not the best. I didn’t notice that my husband had changed the settings on the camera.

Cricut Winter Wonderland

August 15, 2009

Look at this. I mean come on, this is so stinkin’ cute. I just got the Winter Woodland cartridge today and I think it’s my new favorite cart. OK they are all my favorite carts.

This was so much fun to make. I went simple as far as cardstock is concerned, because it’s my first time putting one together. I see many many more in my future. Oh yes and a video too.

A couple of weeks ago I made the house card from the Wild Card cartridge and loved that as well. Check it out here. I think the card and this house in different sizes would make great Christmas gifts. Don’t you?

A Teacher Gift

June 8, 2009

Hi All,
We had such a busy weekend. We worked in the yard all day yesterday, getting our plants in and finally mowing the lawn after several days of rain. I even had a chance to work on my son’s gift for his teacher. I can’t believe school is done this week. Then it’s time for summer break. Well for Ethan anyway. I’m so lucky and blessed to have my mom watch him over the summer. I know it’s not easy for her taking care of Ethan and my Dad who has been in a wheelchair for almost 2 years now. Words can never say how much I love my mom.

I mod podged some K&Co. paper to the white tin box and added some Certainly Celery Stampin’ Up! ribbon and printed my sons teacher’s name on some white cardstock and punched it out. I also made a set of note cards to match and a notebook using my Bind It All machine. I still have a nother set of note cards to make in another style pattern paper.

If you have a Bind-it-all machine and would like the instructions on how to make it, visit Robyn’s Blog HERE. She made this during National Scrapbook Day and I just can’t stop making them.

Have a great Monday

Happy Crafting!

Sunday Update

May 24, 2009

Another beautiful date in NorthEast Pa.

I love this little notebook. Robyn did this video for National Scrapbook Day and I kept wanting to make one. So this morning I pulled out the Bind-It-All and gave it a go.

I love this paper by Cosmo Cricket called Gretel: Woodland.

I’ve got at least one video that I want to make today on my Disney Autograph book and how I’m assembling one of the pages. Hope my editing software is working.

Happy Crafting

Birthday PillowBox

April 23, 2009

I was watching TV the other day and for some reason I decided to run to my craft room and make another pillow box, but this one’s a little different. It’s quilted. I punched out using 1-1/4″ square punch a bunch of this double sided pattern paper. I adhered the squares to a sheet of Cardstock and ran it through the cuttlebug. I didn’t think it would work and the squares would pop off, but I guess I used enough adhesive to make them stick. Now this was just messing around and I wasnt’ seriuos about posting this one on my blog, but I like how it came out. The sentiment I made on the computer and printed it out on cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by.
