Christmas Card Money Holder

December 1, 2010

Hi Everyone,
WOW! The first 1/2 of the pre-order for the Gypsy Series on DVD is going out today. My mom is delivering them to the post this morning. Thanks Mom….I should have the 2nd 1/2 finished up tonight and out tomorrow. Thanks to all of you who pre-ordered. I never thought so many would want the series on DVD…Thank you….

OK now for a little tutorial. My nephews are getting older and it’s getting harder to buy them presents, so I’m going with good ole’ cash. Of course you need something to put it in….
Here is a tutorial with the measurements on how to make a Christmas card money holder.

I hope you all have a great day…

MS Punch Around The Page

November 22, 2010

Happy Monday everyone….
WOW it’s Thanksgiving week already…We decorated the outside of the house over the weekend. Once it got dark out, like the Griswald’s we were out in the front yard admiring our work. The only difference was the lights worked when Scott plugged them in and my aunt didn’t come over with a cat wrapped up as a jello dish (or was it a present?)…Christmas Vacation is one of my favorite movies to watch this time of year. It’s one of those movies that when your flipping through the channels and come across you stop and watch it….enough of my rambling….

I figured if I did a video on how to use the Punch All Over the Page punches, I should probably do one for the Punch Around the Page punches. (Note: The dimensions for the large punch around the page punches are different…video to come on that later this week or next….Thanks Bridgette for the reminder, totally forgot about the large punch).
Here is a video showing the different sizes you can punch with your punches….Enjoy

Have a great Monday….

Masking Technique with Lindy Stamp Gang

November 17, 2010

Hi Everyone,
I was playing around this past weekend and decided to finally try making my own mask (aka stencil) on my Cricut. I used my Gypsy to layout a pretty big size mask. I started in the middle of the mat with a 2″ snowflake and just worked my way out using smaller snowflakes. I have some thin transparency sheets and it cut beautifully on my Cricut….Just think of all the different masks we can make….

Today’s video is on how I made a background using sticking back canvas…

supplies: Sticky back canvas, Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Spray (Frosted Forget me nots) and Glitz (Silver), Mask.

If you haven’t tried or just getting into Lindy Stamp Gang sprays…check out their sale…Click HERE for more info.

supplies: Lindy Stamp Gang: Starburst Spray & Glitz, BoBunny Midnight frost pattern paper, Martha Stewart large and small snowflake punch, Martha Stewart Course Glitter,  Paper Trey Ink On Ice Stamp Set, DMC Floss, Hand Dyed Crinkle Ribbon

Hope you all have a great day. See you tomorrow 🙂

Video Equipment Setup

November 10, 2010

Hi Everyone,
Besides the Gypsy Series, one of the other requests I’ve gotten was how I set up my video equipment…. Monday I said that I was waiting for a new piece that will allow me to film in a different location in my craft room. The piece came yesterday and last night after I got home from work, Ethan and I set it up. Scott supervised. LOL.
Ethan had piano lessons after school and I had a board meeting last night, so I let Ethan stay up a little later then usual to hang out with me since I didn’t get to see him all day 🙁 He was my studio assistant for this video. He cracks me up…

My Equipment
Canon Vixia HD Camcorder
Photek Extension Arm
Tripod

Have a great day

Paper Rosette Video Tutorial

October 27, 2010

Happy Wednesday,
Today feels like a Thursday, not a Wednesday….

I was playing with the upgrade in ilife 11′. It has a few more features, but not too much that I would use in my videos. Great stuff for home videos though 🙂 The iphoto update is amazing and I can do so much more…

Today’s video is a tutorial on how to make your own paper rosettes. Tim Holtz has a die for making rosettes but this one just uses a score board and border punch. Enjoy….

I’m working on the list of all your video suggestions. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to contact me (above link). I think Gypsy will need to be high on the list 🙂 Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Have a great Wednesday 🙂
