Paper Rosette Video Tutorial

October 27, 2010

Happy Wednesday,
Today feels like a Thursday, not a Wednesday….

I was playing with the upgrade in ilife 11′. It has a few more features, but not too much that I would use in my videos. Great stuff for home videos though 🙂 The iphoto update is amazing and I can do so much more…

Today’s video is a tutorial on how to make your own paper rosettes. Tim Holtz has a die for making rosettes but this one just uses a score board and border punch. Enjoy….

I’m working on the list of all your video suggestions. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to contact me (above link). I think Gypsy will need to be high on the list 🙂 Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Have a great Wednesday 🙂

That was so cool. Embellishments cost so much and to be able to make something as nice as this for a fraction of the cost is a great idea. Thank you for sharing.

THanks for the great tutorial. I bought the spider web border last week and wondered if I would use it that much. This video gives me one more use for the punch which is great. Ant=y videos with some type of container to make or use to hold goodies to give would be great.

Great video! You can also do this with a ribbon…just take a length and sew a running stitch in the shape of a U coming down at one end and along the length then going up at the other end…pull your strong thread and it gathers and presto you have a ribbon flower. On the wired ones, you can just pull one wire out and then pull the other to gather. It works the same way! Am off to try your paper one though. =)Judiejudieshe@gmail.com

Love it! I saw Martha do plain huge rosettes using her scoreboard, but punching the edge makes them awesome, I never thought of that. I got my MS scoreboard and LOVE it. I like it better than my Score-It. Like you said though, be careful not to tear your paper, the little white tool is sort of sharp!

Thank you for the video because I have made these but points you made in the video, made it much easier! Using the hot glue was faster as well as the MS score board due to the 1/4 inch marks.
