Creations With Christina

Frame

November 8, 2010

Monday? What happened to the weekend? I had a somewhat crafty weekend….Saturday I finally set my room the way I wanted it to look. I’ve been looking at a wall since I’ve had my own craftroom and I always kept it that way because of how I film my videos. Scott came up with a solution to filming (it’s on order) and I get to stop starring at walls 🙂 Depending on how long it takes to ship and when it gets here, I may not have any videos this week? Which is OK because I’m going to spend some time this week getting my list of videos straightened out and work on some other projects I have in the works….

Have you all seen the amazing frames that Teri has been making? The frame can be found at Michael’s in the wood section and measures 12×12 and holds a 5×7 picture. As soon as I saw the first frame Teri made I had to make one. This frame is for Scott’s parents, check out that cutey in the picture. I can’t believe he’s in 3rd grade already.

I’ll try to remember the supplies: I started it two weeks ago and finally finished it up this weekend:
Supplies:
Wood Picture Frame (Michaels), Crackle Medium, Red paint, Black Paint, Pattern Paper (Graphic 45 Playtime Past), Paper Trey Ink: It’s official stamp set, torn page die, and twine. Tim Holtz, on the edge file tab. Denin material, Sakura White Gel Pen, Don Juan Cricut Cartridge (Stars)
and a whole lotta love 🙂

Halloween Mini Album

October 15, 2010

Hi Everyone,
About two weeks ago Generations Crafting had a great deal on the Basic Grey Eerie collection. The kit had everything in it that was available in the Eerie Collection. It was a limited time offer and I’m thrilled I got it. There was enough in the kit to make three or 4 mini’s…I had so much fun working on it last weekend, it was so nice and relaxing to sit and play and mess with stuff…..I’m listing the supplies I used below, but there are so many that I’ll have to link to them at another time (It’s 6:30am and I’m getting ready for work, so time is limited).

Here is a video

supplies: Basic Grey Eerie collection, Prima Flowers, Tim Holtz Alterations Die, UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel), Tulle, Black Silk Ribbon, Binding Rings, Tim Holtz Grunge, Green Silk Ribbon, Celebrations mini sack, Sizzix Retro Fram, Webster pages Pleated Ribbon, Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge, Lindy’s Stamp Gang Halloween Sprays, Prima Halloween Bling, Prima Bling, Scallop Envelope, Spot and Dots Cuttlebus Embossing folder, Tim Holtz Picket Fence on the Edge Die

September 13, 2010

Good Monday all,
I’m more than a year behind on scrapping. OK I’ll confess I’ve never even finished an album, so my goal for 2010 is to scrap 2009. Once a week I sit and make a layout for my scrapbook.

Here’s a video of my most recent layout…enjoy

Supplies: My Minds Eye Lost & Found Collection, Prima Pink Swirls, Prima Canary Roses, Prima Butterfly, Maya Road Satin Pleated Trim, Tim Holtz Vintage Market Alterations Die, Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, ATG gun

You have to check out this website www.CricutSearch.com. This is going to make searching for images so much easier. Shawn also has a YouTube channel with great instructions on how to use the site.
Have a great day and don’t forget that October 2nd is World Card Making Day. Mark your calendars for a fun filled day of videos, projects, challenges and giveaways.

First Day Of School Layout

September 6, 2010

Hi All,
I know today is usually a video day, but I kinda took the weekend off and did a little scrapping for the family scrapbook. Today is our 13th wedding Anniversary. So Happy Anniversary to my hubby.

I’m working on my 2009 scrapbook…This is Ethan’s first day of school from last year.

I used my new BoBunny Learning Curve paper for some of the elements and the background is a plain black cardstock that I crazy stitched around the border. “2nd Grade” is cut from Plantin School Book on my Cricut and the tag with “Back To School” circle sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe.
Have a great Labor Day.

Pink Paislee Mini Album

August 25, 2010

Hi Everyone,
Last weekend when my mojo returned I was feeling a mini album coming on….

I used the Pink Paislee 365 degree papers to cover the pages of the alum. It measures about 3 1/2 x 4 inches and I had so much fun making it. It didn’t take long at all to put together. I tried to leave lots of space for pictures.
Anyway here are a few pictures.

Have a great day…

Layout~Whimsical Wednesday

August 4, 2010

Happy Wednesday….
WOW! You all had some great 12×12 cardstock storage ideas for me yesterday. I decided before I try anything new that I’m going to turn my cubes sideways and have my cardstock standing up. However some of my paper slots are kinda empty…..guess I need to go shopping…lol. Thanks everyone, I love hearing your ideas and tips too….

Now for today’s project. This is one page to a double page layout that I’m working on. I have to order some more of Basic Grey’s Oliver paper. I only ordered one of the laser cut sheets and the 6×6 pad with some of the embellies, so I just need another 12×12 sheet for the other page…”Birthday Blow-Out” was cut using the Simply Sweet Cricut Cartridge……

Supplies:
Basic Grey’s Oliver Collection
Bazzill Cardstock
Simply Sweet Cricut Cartridge

Hugs,

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
