Ribbon Storage

July 20, 2010

So this has been one of my biggest storage problem areas and I’ve tried it all…From wrapping them on clothespins to keeping them on the rolls. Finally I think I have it…A while back I posted a picture of my ribbons storage. This is just a revised version of what I was doing before….

Now I use those awesome 3M removable hooks (I love love love 3M hooks). I have 4 hooks on my door with most of my ribbon sorted by color.

each color is on one of these large 2″ binder rings (Staples). The ribbon is clipped with a binder clip and the tagged with the color and company name…I like to tag my Paper Trey Ink ribbon.

So that was just my satin and stitched ribbon…
I have the same method for my laces, but they hang from my window curtain…Lace…Pretty…

of course you have to have one on the other side of the window to keep the rod balanced.
This is my fun trim..
Yep there still is a whole drawer of ribbon and I won’t even show you the box that still has ribbon on clothespins….

Ikea is amazing

July 8, 2010

Oh my goodness, yesterday was so much fun…Ikea is huge…I had no idea what to expect and by the time we left the King of Prussia mall we all just was ready to collapse, but we made it through Ikea. My poor son will probably run in the other direction if I ever mention another trip to Philadelphia. Now that I’m thinking of it, Scott probably will to.

Look what I got for my craft room. I’ve been wanting one of these for a very very very long time. This desk is amazing :0) I just had to set it up last night….around 10pm I thought to myself. What the heck are you doing? GO TO BED! I was totally wiped out.

I also picked up lots of other little things for my room, so I really have lots of organizing to get done. I love to organize my craft room. The rest of the house. Forget it…lol

Have a great Thursday and hopefully I’ll get this room organized so I can work on a project or two before my vacation is over….

Craft Room Update 3/14/10

March 14, 2010

Sunday already? Man this weekend is flying…

This is the last update until the big reveal of my new Craft Room….

I’m about 90% done. I still have some organizing to do, like sorting my cardstock, pattern paper and labeling the drawers so I know where everything is.

Be sure to check in tomorrow…I’ll be posting a video of my room.

Hugs….

Craft Room Update 3/13/10

March 13, 2010

Here is my Saturday update…

I got a lot done yesterday. You can read yesterday’s post for the update on what I did and to see a picture of the room color. It’s coming out really nice!
I’m off to work for a few hours this morning and then I have to run to pick up a few things. I’m hoping to get a lot more organizing done today, so keep your fingers crossed.
I won’t post anymore pictures of my room until it’s completely done. I hoping that is by tomorrow.
Hugs to you all,

Craft Room Update 3/12/10

March 12, 2010

11:30am Update….It’s painted…I would take a picture, but I misplaced the camera in the move. I had it this morning but I can’t find it now.

4:30pm Went shopping and picked up two bookcases. I finished assembling the smaller case, just waiting for Scott to bring the other one in from the car.

4:40pm Found the camera….

\

9:15pm update….Boy am I tired….The 2nd bookcase it put together and placed in it’s new area. My workspace it installed, computer is re-installed, and my ribbon organizer (aka tie rack) is up. Still have tons of organizing to do and more shelving to install. Working on the closet now. Tomorrow after work I’ll work more on organizing.

My room is empty. Holy Cow!

I started painting a little last night so I didn’t have so much to do today. As soon as Ethan is dropped off at school I’m home to paint.

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments. I’ve been wanting to paint this room since the day I got full custody. I used to only have a corner then I tossed my dear hubby out. Don’t worry he works at the dining room table now! LOL

Have a great Friday! and more updates tomorrow or tonight.

Craft Room Update 3/11/10

March 11, 2010

Hi All,
Here is an update on my room. Ethan and I went to Lowes last night and picked out the paint. When I told him I was going to paint my room green he decided he wanted to go shopping with me. His favorite color is green and I think he wanted to make sure I picked the right shade of green. LOL

You all know my favorite color is blue, but since I have blue carpet I didn’t want to paint the walls blue too. The color we picked is called Hazy Jade. It’s a really pretty shade of green. Can’t wait to start painting.

Here is what I got done last night…
I took out the black shelving and moved that into my sons room. He is thrilled because now he can display his Lego buildings and has places to put his Playmobil guys. He was so excited I even got him to dust the shelves.

I took down my Jetmax (or as my mom keeps calling them Inkjets or JetPacks) section and got the walls prepped for painting in these two sections.

I have to confess I have a love for the hammer and nails. Holy cow are there a lot of holes in my walls.

Here is what a picture of the section cleared…Isn’t that radiator pretty?

Can’t wait until tomorrow. Painting…..

It’s cleaned and organized…

February 8, 2010

Well I certainly opened up a can of worms when I decided to clean my room. It turned into a two day organizing project. I know it looked cleaned when you checked yesterday’s pictures, but I did a little cleaning before I took the pictures.

I did get lots done. All of my Prima’s are now kept in nice containers. Cardstock and Pattern paper have been organized (arranged my company). All of my collections are together and stored separately and I finally found a better home for my Sizzix dies.

Here are a few pictures. Sorry I’m not the best at taking pictures of my room….

Ribbon storage: binder clips and a few cheap tie racks
Paper storage: Cropper Hopper 12×12 organizers.
Prima and buttons:
You can’t see the Prima’s, but the are stored in the two metal boxes
buttons: $1 glass jars from Michael’s
Workspace under my button and prima shelves

Gotta love Glimmer Mist…….

Punch Storage:
Not the best picture and not certainly not all of my punches…
Sizzix Storage:
That’s all for now….
