Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a great weekend. I was able to spend some time in my room Sunday afternoon and worked on the mini. I’m loving how it’s coming out so far. I still have a page to work on and binding, but I’ll get that done during the week. I can’t believe how much I got done yesterday in a short amount of time. It just came together. I have lots of video editing to do 🙂
I hope you all enjoy the series. Today we will be working on cutting, covering and binding our mini album.
If you missed the video on Friday that went over some of supplies click HERE. Tomorrow we’ll be working the first pages…
Have a great day…I hope tonight I’ll make up some sleep, daylight savings time got me good this year…
AWESOME start to a great mini, can't wait till tomorrow, have a good day!
Thank you, your video is so informative… Can't wait for the next one!brigitteetleschats at hotmail dot com
Awesome so far, I love the Cinch, I have the bind it all and you're right, that looks a lot easier. I make a lot of mini albums and I never make the holes until the end and consequently I have problems because sometimes it doesn't fit in the slot to punch the holes with all the pockets and ribbon and such that have been added on, and I have to redo some of the pages, lesson learned, I will from now on.
Christina,I love the mini so far, the pages you chose are perfect for EthanCan't wait to see moreHugsStacy
Following along and loving it. I got a Cinch for Christmas, too and haven't opened the box. I'm not so afraid to try it now that you have led the way. My ds will be 9 next month, so I love hanging out on your blog. It's hard to find boy-oriented ideas except occasionally. I want to get the outer space papers you have and have you seen the new TOY BOX release from Crate Paper!!!Can't wait to see the next installment. My ideas are brewing!!!
Love it!!! You always inspire me to create. I need to get going on my mini. Where did you get your med weight chipboard in such a large pack? Can't wait for the next video.
Oh, yeah, forgot to say…I am planning a mini for my son that has descriptive personality words and their definitions…sort of an educational personality mini!I plan to make a loooonnngger album like 4×8 or 4×10 to make room for the words like “responsible”, “humorous”, “imaginative”, etc… What brand of medium weight chipboard did you use?sorry for two separate posts…I just didn't finish my first one!! LOL!Thanks!
So nice to see a tut from start to finish, instead of seeing the book all done and trying to figure out how they did it, thank you so much and can't wait for next one. jman4@comcast.net
Looks great so far. One of these days I'm going to try a mini album. TFS!
Hoping you were able to get the binding part on tape for the next tut. I have the Cinch also and can never get the wires to close right, was hoping to watch you!! LOL
Your albumn is looking awesome already! Thanks for showing all the steps! I've started my Hawaii Word Book albumn and don't use a brayer when adhering the paper to the chipboard, but used my green scraper (?) that came with the Cricut tool set, which works good as well. Thanks fo showing how easy the Cinch works too. Jude
Thanks for the series, I'm lovin it!!! Cathryn67 🙂
Easy to follow!! Great start!!
Loving it so far – can't wait for the next video.
Oh this is going to awesome…..I got a Cinch for Christmas too….guess Santa loves us…..and your right it's so easy to use….can't wait to see what your next step is….
I never had an interest in creating a mini album, but in watching you process I have been inspired.
Love all of the tips. I have made quite a few albums but am watching to get your pointers which I always love! Thanks bunches!
Lookin good! I want to try one of these one day. Thanks for the inspiration!chowlulu at aol dot com
Hello, thank you for the video! I like your videos!Greets Sabina
This is torture waiting!! Haha j/k….I'm a definite Type A personality!
I still don't own a binding machine. I have been looking at The Cinch for a year now. It looks easy to use. Thank for sharing.'
I almost bought a BIA at Tuesday Morning last week, but am glad that I waited now. The Cinch looks so much easier. Thanks for the inspiration.
I KNOW I'm going to love this series! Thanks for showing the basics of mini book making.
Does using the brayer to flatten it out keep the glue from being “bumpy” underneath your papers? I started using spray adhesive instead of the liquid to prevent the “bumpy'ness.”And, is the glass mat easier for trimming then using a self healing mat? I have a glass mat but have never used it. I always have the self healing mat out so that's what I always use. Thanks for your videos. I look forward to your emails every day!
Loving what you are doing…basics from step 1, just what I need to know. Thank you! Thank you!!Judiejudieshe@gmail.com
Awesome video! Question: do you use page protectors on your albums? Thanks Christina!Esigmon at cox dot net
Thanks for this wonderful video, really enjoyed this serie of the mini album. vswaddy620@yahoo.com
I'm out of town right now – and will be home on Sunday. Can't wait to get started on a mini album. I have a theme and pics in mind – so will get caught up with all of you. Thanks Christina – Your blog is my fav and I just love all of your videos and projects. Looking forward to the next video!!!!
Thanks so much Christina, for this tutorial. I've made one or two little mini's but they have absolutely no personality! I just got the Graphic 45 Once upon a Springtime, I'm thinking I might us it. But then again, I might use up some old paper for my first try. I think it'll be a square album, but it doesn't matter. So I'm off to get my pages ready. I don't have a binding system, so I'll use my Crop a Dial to punch some holes and use rings or just fibers. I'll see. But I'm excited to get started. Thanks a bunch.Hugs, Jessica
Been waiting to do a mini for my son also. Following along and you really give some great instruction.Hope to finish my for my son also. Thanks for all the help and directions.Lydia
Excited to see this series – I haven't tried to do an album yet. Purchased the Cinch today from HSN – good to hear that you like it and it is easy to use. Thanks for your time and talent!themom1247@gmail.com
I've been on the fence about purchasing the Cinch I think I've just been pushed over. Thanks.Lee Ellenwigellen@aol.com

oops and thanks for the Cinch review I was on the fence but now I MUST have it!!!((NJ hugs))-christine
I'm loving it. Your tutorials are simply the best. I have a request for your next mini – could you please use the Cricut to cut the shape of it? I've been curious to learn how to do this and I think there's no one better than you for this challenge. Oh, and it was great to see The Cinch working. Now I gotta buy one. Thanks for sharing.Your biggest fan from Brazil.
Thank you so much for your video! It was so great to see all of the steps. I just got my Cinch last week and I am looking forward to using it.
Oh this is what I have needed, a good video to show how to make a mini album. I have wanted to make one but where do you start and all. I am hoping these videos will take me to the end as I am confused on what to add after and how to use the mini album. I really really appreciate the video it is going to be so helpful and I have wanted a cinch just for this and love to see the easy use of it. Thanks so much.
I haven't made a mini as of yet. I get so much inspiration from watching you, I'm sure it won't be long before I make one. Thanks Christina
Looks like you're off to a great start! I can't wait to see more!!!
Thanks Chrisitna, i know what you mean about the bind it all, now i will have to go and look for details about the cinch (thanks a lot-ps stop showing me stuff i want to buy)
Love the video Christina. I have not made a mini album yet but this video has given me inspiration to start one. I don't have the cinch. I really wanted it last summer when I was at the Convention in Valley Forge but instead I went with the Bind-it-all. I have not even used the darn thing yet but I am still partial to the cinch. I may just have to sell the BIA and purchase the cinch afterall. Can't wait to see the next video!
Lovely. I can't wait to see what the end result is :)).Hugs Monique
Great video Christina. Can't wait for more!
This is neat! I've never made a mini before, but now I really want a Cinch.
Still excited about doing this. I like the idea of making my holes first. Who would have thought, sheesh. Can't wait to see what other things I learn along the way. I have a question about yor cutter. You made cutting the chip board looks so much easier than what I do and the ever frustrating unevenness that I get when using my exacto. What trimmer brand and model are you using? I patiently (cough cough) await for your emails.
hey Christina, thanks so much for this tutorial – it's really great to see you put this together right from the beginning… makes me realize that I am stressing too much over the little stuff!! happy scrapping…
Oh barn red is now on my list. I love my Cinch. Fun album.
Thanks for doing this series. I have never done a mini but after watching you are giving the inspiration to try,
Oh wow this must be a sign. I just became a follower today and Hobby Lobby is having a sale on the Cinch next week. I guess that means I need to get me one. LOL
