Summer Card Camp Week 4-Color Combo Challenge

July 19, 2011

I can’t believe its week 4 of summer card camp already. WOW it flew by….
This week’s challenge is right up my alley…Yep Green and Teal….YUMMY!
Over the weekend I started making a card for my boss at work and could you believe it went right with this weeks color challenge. Marie (that’s my boss) has been giving me some awesome cooking tips for cooking some of my newly grown veggies from my garden. She let me borrow a cookbook with some great recipes in it and I wanted to give her a little thank you card when I return the book.

I used the apron from the Savory Cricut Lite cartridge and cut off the strings to add my seam binding. I used my Gypsy to hide some of the other cuts on the base of the apron and then made my own little pocket. I also added the satin ruffle at the bottom and then went a little bling happy…lol
That’s all for today!!
Have a great day (it’s gonna be a hot one) 🙂
Hugs,

Supplies:
Cricut: Savory Lite Cartridge, Cricut Expression 2, Gypsy
Cardstock: Spring Moss (Paper Trey Ink)
Pattern Paper: Ducks in a Row (October Afternoon), Campfire (October Afternoon)
Stamps: Mixed Messages (Paper Trey Ink)
Ribbon: Seam Binding, Ruffle Trim
Misc: Recollections Gems, Sakura White Gel Pen

Summer Card Camp Week 3-Color Combo Challenge

July 12, 2011

Hi Everyone,
Ok this challenge was really fun. I was chatting on this phone with mom last night and making a paper rosette (see video HERE). I was just playing and decided to try and layer two different size rosettes and I love how it turned out…
Todays card measure’s 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.

The smaller layer of the rosette is cut at 1″ and the larger 1-1/2″

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by 🙂
Hugs,

Summer Card Camp 2011

June 28, 2011

Hi Everyone,
Summer Card Camp started today. I couldn’t wait for tonight to work on the color challenge.  I just love Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire. They are both such super talented ladies and I really had fun working on the first challenge…and it certainly was a challenge for me. I don’t have a huge selection of pink and purple in my stash so I made due with my Copic markers. Doesn’t that Echo Park Summer Days paper go great with the Fly Away stamps set from Paper Trey Ink?

After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
