Hi Everyone,
Since I was setting up my new stamp sets and others have asked how you set up the PTI (Paper Trey Ink) stamps that I would do a quick video. So….
Oh and by the way. My craftroom that was so clean the other day…Today it’s a disaster. I have no idea what happened? OK I do….There is paper everywhere, stamp sets all over and I can barely get to my computer…so before I head out to work on this rainy morning, I’m going to clean it up….Have a great Friday and hugs to all….
Christina,I love how their stamps come with a CD case, so convenient. You could probably use the box they came in for windows and stuff.I am definatly going to look into getting some of their stuff. They are SO much cheaper than stampinupHugsStacy
Thanks for sharing, I love PTI and my stamps have stuck to each other because I never thought to put cut down the plastic. I am going to do that from now on plus try to figure out what to use on all my other stamps.Chris Bchrisbuob at centurytel dot net
LOL, for some reason the same thing happens to my craft room after only one small project. I wonder what goes on with creative minds.
Hi Christina,Thanks so much for all your fabulous videos and tutorials, I am a big fan of your work. I recently watched your PTI haul video and this one about storing stamps. I was wondering if sometime you would do a video using the dies you showed yesterday and the stamps. I've never actually seen how dies are used and I think it would be great to see the dies and stamps used together. Thanks for all the great things you do.Paula
Thanks for sharing on how you store PTI stamps. I love them too! I have noticed my eyes have a hard time reading the labels on the CD's as I get older…ahem…well it's true. So I take white acrylic paint and put a swipe of the paint on the inside spine of the CD. It dries in seconds. That contrast is just enough to make it easier to read the black print of the label. I also put a liner inside the CD so the stamps don't stick. But for my liner, I use the white backer from the PTI label that you peel off in your video. That piece is perfect to keep the stamps from sticking together and again the white background of this paper helps me to read the stamp sentiments because of the contrast against the print.
One more thought on PTI, I love it when the stamps coordinate with a die! To store the dies, I bought some of the new Stampin UP clear cases. They cost $1.25 each. I store each of my PTI dies in one of those cases along with any extra cardstock that I have cut out using the die. I like to have some shapes cut out ahead in white so I have them ready to stamp when I am making a card. These cases with the die and precut cardstock sit on the shelf right next to the coordinating PTI stamp CD case. It works well for me to have them together.
Oh thank you so much for this today!! I just ordered my first order from PTI last night!! I got paper, ink, ribbonm and stamps. I am so excited can't wait for it to come in. Your video will help me soooo much!!
Hi Christina, Thank you for showing how you store your new stamps. I would love to see a video of you using one of your new stamps and cutting with your new die cuts. I'm going to check out PTI. Thanks for sharing.
You tip on breaking the little tabs, just brought me great joy. I have ruined a few stamps with those tabs in the way. Never thought of that. Thank you.
Great haul and great video on the stamp storage. I too would love to see how you use the dies and stamps together.
I have had bad luck with 3 of my CD cases breaking apart, so I have been recasing mine into the DVD cases that Stampin' Up sells that are much sturdier. I have been wishing that PTI would get a new packaging system.
Thanks for all the great tips. Hope Ethan has a wonderful birthday as all your hard work unfolds.
I love PTI Stamps. Here's a tip I hope you like. Instead of the clear plastic sheet to lay between your stamps in the case, I use the white sheet that the image label came attached to. 1. the stamps don't stick to it2. having the white between the stamp layers allows me to see the images better3. I keep misplacing the clear sheet while I'm using the stamp set.Keep up the great work – Miche.Skinner@yahoo.com
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave in the Cutting category today [26 Feb 12:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria
Thanks for the video showing what is good from PTI. I've never ordered from them, but now I'd like to try some paper and ribbon. Can you do a video on how to use the dies?
Christina, I love the stamps and die sets that go together. Could you do a video on how to use them? Thanks
Boy did you say rain, whats that? we are in the middle of a hot humid heat wave and i would love some rain. Waiting by the mail box everyday for my PTI delivery.
Thank You!! for this video. I have had problems putting lable on CD case also stamps sticking together. I will use your idea of cutting plastic backing to put over stamps – awesome.
Howdy everyone. Was just surfing online and ran across your blog. It is wonderful. Just found a free sample that I am excited to try. It is called Cut Color Wear and it looks like you can cut it with your Cricut, color it with markers and then iron it onto a t-shirt. Looks very cool. Here is the link – http://www.printonit.com/Cut-Color-Wear-Free-Sample-p/cutcolorwearfree.htm
I also would love to see what dies and stamps coordinate – mThanks again for sharing.mmlmn @polarcomm.co
Wow! Thanks so much for this video. I have been doing wrong all this time. I have been cutting the designs apart and doing them individually trying to make them all fun. Your way is so simple. Just got a bunch of them in the mail so I am super glad I watched your video first.
Christina thanks so much for sharing how you store your PTI stamps. I love the whole CD storage for acrylic stamps.
Thank you for the tutorial! Head on over to my blog, thebusybug.blogspot.com. I have something for you! Bug Hugs 😀
