Halloween Circle Card and New Photopolymer Stamp Set

October 16, 2013

Hi Everyone,
Since the Circle Die Framelits where still on my desk from Friday’s video on the Circle Card Thinlits die I thought I would put together one last Halloween Card for this season.

First I did some die cutting of the largest circle to create the card base and then matted that with two of the scallop die cuts. I then did some layering of the different size circles with the Witches’ Brew Designer Series Paper and some black cardstock. I also cut out a piece of very vanilla which I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp and Pumpkin Pie ink to stamp out at pattern background. I also added a little banner using the Witches Brew washi tape and crochet thread.

Happy was stamped out with the ABC-123 Sketch stamp. I used the Modern Label Punch and Word Window Punch and stamped out Halloween using the Designer Typeset Photopolymer stamps.
The card measures 4-3/4″ and I couldn’t resist making a matching envelope (5″).

Here are the supplies used to make today’s card.

Circles Collection Framelits Dies
Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set
ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers
Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set
Witch’s Brew Washi Tape
Witches Brew DSP
Very Vanilla Cardstock (SU)
Basic Black Cardstock (SU)
Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Stazon Ink Pad-Jet Black (SU)
Pumpkin Pie Ink
Envelope Punch Board
Magnetic Platform
Big Shot (SU)
Modern Label Punch

There is also a new Photopolymer Stamp Set out called Endless Wishes. This is on my wish list for sure. I love the sentiments in this set.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a great week.
Hugs,

September 27, 2013

Hi Everyone,
Sorry about the little absence this week. These fall allergies are kicking my behind…I had the worst headache ever yesterday and I’m still a little off today, but feeling better.

Let’s get crafty by making a gate fold card. I haven’t made one of these in ages and it was so much fun.

Stampin' 101 Video Series: SU! Stamps and Setup

August 26, 2013

Hi Everyone,
Today’s Stampin’101 video is all about Stampin’ Up! stamps and the different types they offer. I also show how I keep my cling mount stamps stored in the cases.
Here’s what I do…
Watch Below | Watch on You Tube

I did have a few that the stickers didn’t exactly match up with the stamps, but it works for me. If I ever want to switch out and actually put the stickers on the stamps I still can…I love SU! stamps.

Wood Mount stamps come in larger cases and have the wood so you can mount your stamps right to the wood block. They also come with a sticker sheet for adding the stickers to the tops of the wood.
Cling Mount stamps are actually listed in the catalog as clear and come in slimmer style cases along with the labels that you can add to the cling. I prefer not to use the labels as the stickers do not give you a good cling to acrylic blocks.
Photopolymer Stamps are new to Stampin’ Up. They currently have 7 different sets and work beautifully with SU! inks. Show & Tell 1 and 2 along with  Designer Typeset would be great additions to Project Life and SU!’s This and That collections.

Scrap Room Organizing: Die Storage Update (Again)

July 4, 2013

Hi Everyone,
Today’s video is a little update to my die storage system.
This revision to my system was inspired by a video that Jennifer McGuire did last week showing how she stores her stamp sets (Check out her blog).

Watch Below | Watch on You Tube

Here is the system I posted a few weeks back:
Watch Below | Watch on You Tube

You can see the original posting on this HERE

Here are the supplies I used:
Crate came from Target
CD Sleeves
Plastic File Folders (From Big Lots)
Label Maker (Dymo)

I really like this system and will stick with this one for a long time to come.

I may not have a Stampin’ on Friday video for you this week. I’m going to try and get one together but we are leaving for a few days of family time Thursday afternoon and I still need to pack everything to take with us. We will see how the day plays out tomorrow (or today when you read this)
Have a great 4th of July.
Hugs to all,
Christina

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders .
