Hi Everyone
Last night I felt like sitting down and playing. It was really nice to sit down and just craft to craft. Only problem is I made a huge mess for a simple card. Ahh even the huge mess made it lots of fun.
I pulled out a Simon Says Stamp die called Falling Stars. I must be on a stars kick this week. Because of the shape of the die it created this little indent in the cardstock when I ran it through my Big Shot.
I was just about ready to try again and thought I would try embossing it…Gotta love Paper Trey Ink’s Impressions plates. It might be kind of hard to see in the photos, but it gave it a really nice texture and hid the indents from the star die.
Wrapping some seam binding gave it a really nice touch and the arrow from Stampin’ up was a perfect…okay really the arrow was to hide a small tear I put in the cardstock. lol 🙂
I mounted the die cut piece to a standard A2 (4-14″ x 5-1/2″) card base and then pulled out a piece of black chalkboard style paper from the I heart summer paper pad by Simple Stories to do some white embossing with an Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday stamp.
Finally I added some dashed lines with my white gel pen and I was very happy with the results.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day

Beautiful! Question for you today….do you ever mail your cards? I have gone to a flatter card because it cost so darn much to mail when they have thicker embellishments. What are your thoughts?

Beautiful card! Thanks for sharing. And, I will just go ahead and say it – I love this post because there's no video. I know there are blog readers that love videos, but I'm not one of them. I just don't have the time or patience for videos.

Hi Christina, Love your videos amd follow you on instagram!! Beautiful card! Thought you would want to know Kristina Werner did a video to prevent the indentation in the cards. Not sure if it was on her Kristina Werner video or Simon Says Stamp. 🙂

I love this card and the falling stars die from SSS. I agree that it leaves an impression and what a clever way to disguise it.
