Hello Card

March 5, 2010

Happy Friday,

The other day I picked up my son at my mom’s house after work and what does my mom have. A card I made for her birthday when I first started scrapping. Well I had to take it so I can post…

First here is a card I made this morning…

Supplies: Cricut Lyrical Letters Cartridge, Cricut Expression, Scallop Nestabilities, Summer Sunshine Paper Trey Ink Cardstock, Summer Sunshine Satin Ribbon, We R Memory Keepers “Grandma’s Kitchen” pattern paper.

Now here is the card from probably that mid to late 90’s. I wish I wrote on the card the year I made it. It’s amazing how things change and our tools for scrapping keep us changing how we do things.

Have a great Friday and a scrappy weekend!

Love the colors on that card. It's always fun to look back & sometimes wonder “what were we thinking?”. Thanks for sharing both cards.

Look how much you've grown over the years in your creativity. When I look at my old scrapbooking pages I cringe!!

I agree with the other posters. I cringe when I look at some of my first scrapbook pages! I thought they looked great at the time. Anyway love the card you made! Jeannette M.

Keeping in mind that at the time you made that first card, things were so much different, it's still a lovely card. Just like your Mother, my own mom, and my mother-in-law too, have kept every single card I have ever sent them. When I see them, I am still amazed. I put so many bizzar embellishments on them (even Christmas Ornaments and florals pics) … how silly was that? And worst of all, I used oodles of glue to adhere them down … little did I know how warped those cards would end up looking. Now look at the cards you make today … all I can say is … YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY BABY! =)Great job … then and now!Hugz,♥Carol♥

You've come a long way baby! I have some old stuff too and it is painful. My first scrapbook was a trip to Disney and it is hideous. It is totally covered with stickers, I couldn't get enough!Oh, we do improve with age! Thanks for showing us.Susan

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
