Cricut Joy: Making an Insert Card
Hello everyone!
Here we are back on the blog.
After opening my Cricut Joy the very first project I made was of course an insert card. Cricut has some great free projects you can use to make cards, home decor items, and iron-on projects with the Joy Machine. I’m working on making some labels next.
Craft Room Update
Hi Everyone,
Here is an update on my space.
After doing some local shopping looking for the perfect furniture (we don’t have an IKEA close by), we ended up making the decision to do it the right way by building in cabinets.
I’m sooooo excited. I can’t wait! It is going to take a few weeks, so I’ll share more as we finalize what we’re doing. I will say I’m already on the hunt for lots of storage solutions. My label maker is going to get a workout that’s for sure.
As for the room…. Well, here it is. I am still working on packing everything up. My mind is spinning with ideas and at the same time I’m overwhelmed. We really do accumulate a lot of products.
This corner still is waiting to be boxed. I held off on this one for a bit because, for me, it’s that corner you don’t know what you’re going to do with.
Is now cleaned out. I’m thinking I might put a cart for my printer and die cutters next to the window that won’t block the bookshelves like the other cabinet did.
Stamp and Die Storage {Video}
Hello.
Before we hop into today’s video…just a reminder the Inkwell Press Planner Giveaway ends tomorrow (5/31). If you didn’t enter yet, head over to this blog post: Inkwell Press Planner Unboxing
Today’s video is how I store my stamps and dies. I did a little work on moving them around as I found keeping them in my Cube Units wasn’t working out. It’s much easier to look through my stamps if I have them out on my workspace.
Enjoy today’s video

Sizzix Fold-A-Long Owl Card
Hi Everyone,
I’m super excited to share with you a video on how to use the Sizzix Fold-A-Long Owl card die set. I love making shaped cards. Reminds me of a few year ago designing them on my Cricut.
Today’s video shows how to put the card together and includes an added touch of adding pattern paper. Love pattern paper shaped cards.
Enjoy and I apologize for the shaky camera. I think I have that problem solved.
You can find the list of supplies used below the video and after all the other photos.

Here are a few more photos.
This is the first card I made using the Fox die set. I die cut the set in white cardstock and then inked it with distress ink.
It’s pretty messing with adhesive overload, but I will try this method again.
and this one is my favorite fox done with pattern paper.
Here are the supplies I used to make these cards if you are interested in purchasing them for your own collection:
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed and see you back here soon.

I already have plans for a comparison video of the Tim Holtz Crayons and Faber Castell Gelatos. I can’t wait to play with the fox and owl card die sets. That will be lots of fun.
I’ve linked the the Zig Clean Color Pens below to Simon Says, but the prices on Amazon are way way way better. Click HERE to go to Amazon.
Hope you enjoyed, I’ll be back next week with the final video in my Craft Room tour.

Stampin' On Friday #64 Be the star you are
Hello, Hello, Hello,
Happy Friday! Ahhh I’m ready for some R&R this weekend. It’s been super busy around here and boy did the week fly by.
HOT HOT HOT! The last two or three days have been super warm and humid. Today it’s less humid and the sun is already shining. Happy day.
Today’s SOF video doesn’t have much S in it. Just one tiny sentiment. I didn’t want to leave you without a video for today so I used the one I had planned for next week.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day and check back here later in the weekend to see the winner of the Flower Patch Bundle.
Place an order anytime during the month of June and be entered to win the new 2014-2016 In-Color collection.
Project Life by Stampin' Up! Layout Video
Today I want to share a video on how I put together one side of a 2 page layout of Ethan’s 12th birthday. I used to do Project Life on a weekly basis, but now I only do it on special occasions. It’s so much easier and I can keep up with it better if I’m not weeks and weeks behind. I have about two more special events to do and then I’ll be caught up to April. Mostly, I stick to a one page layout for each event and, if I have a lot of pictures, I’ll either add an insert or, if the timing is right in the album, I’ll do a two page spread.
