Wild Card Series #19 Ornament Card

October 27, 2009

Happy Tuesday,

Well I was able to get you another Wild Card Video up and running. We’re working on the Ornament card that is on page 74 of the Cricut Wild Card manual. This is really a cute Christmas card! I was thinking after I tied on the linen thread that if you perforated the side of the card, the person receiving it could hang the ornament on their tree. Wouldn’t that be cute?

Enjoy today’s video.

Don’t forget next week is my fun filled week with Christmas with the Cricut.

Wild Card Series #18 House Card

October 14, 2009

Happy Wednesday!
Here is a quick quick quick video for the Wild Card Series. We are working on #18 today, the house card. I’ve made this card a while back and really love it. Here is a link to the one a made a few months back:
We are in the middle of having our bathroom re-done which is right next door to my craft room so in between shopping for faucets, vanities, mirrors and tile I have not really had a chance to do much.
Oh My Goodness can you believe my design spot is coming up in just about 2 weeks for Christmas with the Cricut. I have a few of my projects already done and I can’t wait to show them to you. Very Exciting.
Here’s today’s video (sorry no picture today, like I said in the middle of construction and I had to film this at 10 o’clock last night)

Wild Card Series #17 Monster Card

October 10, 2009

So you thought I was done with the Wild Card Series. I just needed a little bit of a break. I’ll be mixing the WCS videos with some regular videos. So stay tuned.
This card is soooooo cute. I put this one off because I had no idea what I was going to do with it. It will make such a cute card for my nephews for Halloween.

Now Here is your video for today’s installment of the Wild Card Series:

and HERE is a link to the other videos in the WCS videos.
What? My blog looks different? Yep I was playing and decided I needed something with a little more color. Don’t worry if you have my old grab button, it’s still here, but feel free to “grab” my new one if you like.
Have a great weekend.

Wild Card Series #16-Swoop and Tied-up Cards

September 21, 2009

Here is #16 in the Wild Card Series. We are working our way through this entire cartridge.

Here are a few questions answered….

1. What cards should we cut first, before the envelope using the fit-to-page feature?
Rule of thumb is Trifold cards should be cut first. They are longer and need more space on your cardstock. Here is a list of the cards that we have done so far that should be cut using the fit to page feature, before you cut the envelope.
Scallop Card: Page 32
Invite Card: Page 36
Booklet Card: Page 38
Tied Up Card: Page 44
2. Can you use the original (baby bug) Cricut with the Wild Card cartridge?
Yes, just keep in mind that the cards will be much smaller than what I’m showing. The next video will feature a card cut using 6×12.
3. Why aren’t you posting pictures of your completed card?
I haven’t been posting pictures of my completed cards for 2 reasons. 1. I’m still learning how to use the Mac and the Iphoto software. I promise to get to it soon and start posting pics again. 2. I’m trying to make as many of these videos as quickly as I can, so I can start preparing for my guest design spot on Christmas with the Cricut in November.
4. Will you show how to use other cartridge?
Of course, but probably not like what I’m doing with the Wild Card series. My plan is to feature a cartridge every week with 2 videos each week. Send me your emails and comments about what cartridges you want me to feature and what it is you have a question on. I will start a list and work from there. That is if I have the cartridge.
Now here is you video for today:
Thanks for watching!

Wild Card Series #15 Birthday and Joy Cards

September 18, 2009

Hi everyone,

I have to say thank you for all the kind emails and comments. Keep them coming, I so enjoy reading them and they also help me when I need to explain something a little further.
Today’s video features the birthday and joy cards on pages 40 and 41. They are very simple and I love the icon cut from the birthday card. Very cute.
I had part of the day off from work yesterday and will have some off today, so I devoted the time to filming. However I may take a trip to Michael’s today. Sweet dear Lorrie who won my blog candy a few weeks back sent me a gift to M’s and I just found on my desk a 50% off coupon that expires tomorrow. Michael’s here I come. LOL
For those of you waiting or thinking about getting a Gypsy, check out Obsessed With Scrapbooking…Joy has some great videos on how to use the Gypsy. I can’t wait for mine to get here. I heard that HSN will release the Gypsy on the 24th and Michael’s will begin selling soon.

I forgot yesterday to post the link to the other WCS videos, click HERE if you would like to go back and watch older episodes.
Have a great Friday.

Wild Card Series #13 Square Card and Trifold

September 15, 2009

Good Day All,

Well here is episode #13 in the Wild Card Series. Todays video features the square card and the trifold card. It really is much easier if I make two cards in one episode. I have so many things I want to work on and share either in pictures or video, so I’m trying to speed up the WCS by including 2 cards per episode.
I’ve been working on my first mini album, and I’m having a blast. I’ll post pictures whenever I get it done.
Here is episode #13:
Have a great day and happy crafting!

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
