It’s been a very busy week and I didn’t have much time to get anything done.

I’m gonna make a quick post today, since I have a million things to do today and get to a party this afternoon. Not to mention the gift I want to make for the party. I’ll share that this week here on my blog.

It’s time to announce the selection of this weeks’ Linkup Party.

The challenge for week 5 was to use flowers. I really loved them all and it was really hard to select one for this week.
I had to call in help from Scott, and he made the selection this time. We both love Charlotte’s watercolor postcard. It’s just stunning. The colors and gold/rose gold embossing just makes the water coloring even more beautiful. I’m jealous of your watercoloring skills Charlotte and need to practice.

Hi Everyone,
I did a poll on my You Tube Channel to see if there was interest in bringing back my Stampin’ On Friday video series and it seemed some of you where interested. The new blog/video schedule will be Tuesday as a tutorial/product review day and Friday as a card making day (aka stampin’ on Friday)
Today’s card is a Halloween card. I’m not big fan of halloween, but the little kids in our family enjoy getting treats.

Welcome back to the blog. I picked up these pens a few weeks ago when I saw them on sale and wanted to give them a try. I really enjoyed them and thought I would share some info.

They are great pens if you are new to working with alcohol markers, or trying to learn about blending. They are not as great as Copic’s, but they still are a good quality. The price can’t be beat either. Even though you can’t refill them, the price of 3 pens in one set is as much as one single Copic marker.

It’s been a tad chilly here in NEPA. Last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it was near or over 90 degrees. Today (Sunday) its just about 55 degrees. I love fall, but I don’t want to see all the pretty summer flowers go. Can you guess what the theme is for this week? Florals 🙂

Make something with a floral image; a card, a scrapbook page, a tag. That gives me an idea: I’m adding tags to my challenge idea list.

Here is my project for this week. (YAHOO! I have a project.)
My mother-in-law’s birthday is today, and she loves flowers. Happy Birthday Audrey!

The flower I used is from a 2-step stamp set by AlteNew. I tried out a few different colors to stamp my floral image, but ended up loving Harvest Gold and Lemon Tart from Paper Trey Ink. I also used PTI’s New Leaf and Prairie Grass for the leaves. I used a 3D textured embossing folder to create the woodgrain background and then wiped it with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. The color was a little too strong so I sprayed the background with water and dabbed off some of the ink to fade the color. The sentiment is from a Concord & 9th stamp set that has some great floral images as well. I have the supplies I used to make this card listed below.
