Tonic Craft Kit #12 (August)

August 31, 2018

Hello! Hello! Hello!

I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am to be able to craft again. My room is finally done and I can get back to creating. I’m so excited! I’ll be sharing a craft room tour with you very soon.

Today I’m sharing the Tonic Craft Kit. I first learned about the kit from Vicky Papaioannou on You Tube and I fell in love as soon as I saw it. I had so much fun making the 3 cards below and I still have lots of supplies left over to make even more.
I’m fairly new to Tonic products, and what I’ve seen so far and have tried out with this kit has me in love.

While I was waiting for my countertops to arrive, I did a quick video with a look at the kit as well as 3 cards I made using the kit. You can find links to the subscriptions below the video as well as links to items in the kit that are not exclusive products.

Supplies:

Here are some photos of my finished cards. I still have plenty of supplies left to make more cards.
For this card I really wanted to test out the Vintage Drops. I’m loving these. There is still a slight shine, but it’s not like the crystal drops at all. Slightly more matted.

Of course I needed to make a shaker card. It’s also my fist time using a blister package for making the shaker section of the card. It was so easy to use. I’m also loving the Copper Blush Embossing Powder. I’ve already ordered myself a full size 🙂
The two sections that I die cut for the shaker made an easy embellishment for my next card. I pulled some Kraft cardstock out of my collection and used some strips of the gold glitter paper on the side. Adding the twine gave it more of a fall feel.

Well that’s all I have for today.
Just a reminder, if you are participating in the weekly Linkup Party! it ends tonight at 11:59 EST.
Have a great weekend and see you back here soon.

LinkUp Party #2 RoundUp

August 26, 2018

Hi Everyone,
Before we announce the selection for this week’s Link Party, I just want to say how much I’m enjoying seeing your projects. I noticed you are visiting the blogs and leaving comments on each other’s posts. You are doing just what I hoped these parties would do; give us a reason to make something fun, motivate each other, and (my favorite) create a way for us all to connect. I truly love that we’re all getting to know each other. In the next week or two I’m going to setup a Facebook group just for our Linkup Parties group. Stay tuned.

I loved all the projects posted for Make Motivate Connect. I knew this week was going to be a real challenge, and you all did great.

I’m finding it really hard to pick one as my favorite for the week. UGH! I don’t like this part of the party! So here it goes:
Charlene from SouthJerseyGirl Blog. She’s been a long-time follower of my blog and I love how she incorporated the colors. Thanks Char for sharing you fabulous card.

Visit Charlene’s blog at SouthJerseyGirl

I’ve added Charlene’s card to our Pinterest Board.

Thanks again for participating and I can’t wait to see what you do for tomorrow’s challenge.

Ink Storage and Organization {Video}

August 10, 2018

Hi Everyone,
Today I’m sharing a video on how I store my ink pads and ink supplies. If you are interested, I’ve listed many of the items I used for storage below the video on this blog post.

I’ve been using the Stamp N’ Storage units for my Stampin’ Up! inks, because they fit in the Ikea system. They work great, but the ones I have don’t work for smaller ink pads. I have found a way to work around that though. I show that in the video below.  Stamp N’ Storage does offer other ink pad storage systems as well.

Organize More has some great ink storage units. I’ve had my original one for many years now and it’s held up great. I can use it for Distress inks, Paper Trey Ink, Hero Arts and much more. I’m pretty sure at one time I had my Stampin’ Up! inks in this until as well.  Organize More also has different units that fit in the Ikea System. You can see those HERE.

In the video you will hear me refer to myself as a lazy organizer. I really don’t like taking the time when I get new products to make color swatches or repackage. If it’s too much work to keep up-to-date I won’t keep up with it. Am I the only one? I love to dig right in and play. I’m hoping this color chart will make me a little more willing to keep up with ink swatches. If you’d like to use my ink swatch, you can get it HERE. I hope you find it helpful.
Here is a photo of what mine looks like.

And now for the video:

I hope you enjoyed the latest on my craft room organizing.
Stay Tuned. Next week I have something fun planned here on my blog.
