Homemade for the Holidays Video Series #2: Holiday Card Display Board

November 20, 2017

Hi Everyone, Happy Monday! Today’s video is inspired by a board I saw at Hobby Lobby for displaying greeting cards. Since I had most of these supplies on-hand I thought it would be fun to make this for displaying personalized cards during the holiday season.
{Supplies are listed below in the thumbnails at the end of the blog post}

Here is the video:

Here is a full photo of how the board turned out. I mentioned in the video you might want to add a layer of Mod Podge over the vinyl to protect it. I decided to skip this step so I can change out the sentiment for different holidays and occasions.

If you missed the first video in the series you can check it out on this blog post: Handmade for the Holidays Series #1

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you all next time.

Cricut Maker and What I've made so far + Sales

November 19, 2017

Hi All,
I’ve had some time to really play with the Cricut Maker and wanted to share some things I’ve made so far.

I’ve cut vinyl to make this fall sign. (hint Homemade for the Holidays #2 has vinyl in it)

and fabric (without having to use a bond on the back of the material) to make Baxter this really cute fall bandana for Thanksgiving. The rotary blade is amazing and cuts like butter. I’ve got a few ideas on some home decor for the holidays I want to try out.

I also cut a gold iron on vinyl and made Scott a t-shirt with his work logo using the Easy Press.

I’m in total love with this machine. The detailed cuts with the Maker is above and beyond any other version of the Cricut, or any other machine for that matter. I’m having so much fun playing and using the machine to create for the holidays.

I thought I would share some deals that are happening right now and ending on Dec 1st over on the Cricut Website.

This one is the Essentials Collection. I really wish I got this one when I purchased my machine. So many tools I can really use.

Here is another amazing deal if you want to try your hand at playing with vinyl
The Cricut Maker Everything Materials Collection
and of course you need to have access to all those amazing images. Sign up for Cricut Access Subscription
Thanks everyone for stopping by today. I hope you all are having a great weekend.
Hugs, Christina

Homemade For The Holiday Series #1: Making Holiday Cards

November 13, 2017

Hello,
I hope you all had a great weekend 🙂
Today we’re starting a new video series called “Homemade For The Holidays”.
Every year I make some sort of gift for a family member and this year I thought I share those ideas with you.  I’ve made gift card holders, treats for my niece and nephews, and even a hand scrub for my fellow co-workers. I love the feeling of giving and handmade makes it even more fun.

Our first video is making holiday cards. The past few years I’ve been making a few batches of holiday cards to take to work and send out to other departments and library’s. Here is the first set for this year.

DIY Pressing Board for Cricut Easy Press

November 7, 2017

Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had a great weekend. I can’t believe Thanksgiving is around the corner. Have you started prepping and planning yet?

Todays video is a DIY on how to make a pressing board you can use with your Cricut Easy Press. I ordered a Steady Betty from Amazon but there was a delay for a few weeks in receiving it. I couldn’t wait any longer to use the Easy Press so I found out how to make one. DIY!!!
