Today’s video is how I store my stamps and dies. I did a little work on moving them around as I found keeping them in my Cube Units wasn’t working out. It’s much easier to look through my stamps if I have them out on my workspace.

Hi there!
Today I’m sharing a birthday card I made using the Wishes stamp set from Impression Obsession. Such a little stamp set packed with lots of sentiment options.  The card base measures 4-1/4″ square. I started off die cutting the wishes sentiment 5x’s and created a nice thick layer to help pop the sentiment off the card. I used the Wishes sentiment and stamped it with Ombre Ink onto the die cut.

For the layers on the card I used an MFT Square Stitched Stax die set to die cut some black cardstock and a smaller die from the same set with neenah solar white. Adding the “Sending Birthday” sentiment with black ink and some older twinkle embellishments to the front, finished off the card.

Today’s video I’m sharing how I plan with my Inkwell Planner A5 inserts. I have two planners currently, one for home that I use as my to-do lists and appointments. The other is my work planner that I use for my list at work and meetings.

If you are interested in trying out the Inkwell Press planner but don’t want to commit to buying the whole planner system just yet, try out their Quarterly Inserts. That is how I tried them out and I fell in love with the Flex style, colors schemes and overall setup of the planner.

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far. The weekend is almost here 🙂
I was creating some ink swatches for my distress inks and was playing with blending and testing color . I fell in love with this color combo of scattered straw, ripe persimmon, and dried marigold. Such a pretty combo.

The card is a standard A2 sized top folding card. I started off with a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock that was cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and blended from the bottom up with Tim Holtz Distress ink…scattered straw, ripe persimmon, and finished at the top with dried marigold. Before cutting my distress background down a 1/4″ I sprinkled some water and picked up the color that moves with the magic if Distress Inks and a paper towel. To finish of the background I then added a crazy stitched line with my sewing machine and a similar thread color to the ripe persimmon distress ink.

For the focal point of the card I used Avery Elle’s Banner and Wreath Stamp and Die set. Since I was using my Copic Markers to color, I decided to stamp the images in Memento Rich Cocoa instead of the  usual black ink. For the final touch on the card and my mad moment of confetti fun I added a ton of Martha Steward Sequins with Multi Medium Matte adhesive.

It’s been nothing but rain here the past few days and not looking like a nice weekend either. When it rains, what do ya do? You Color…I whipped out my long neglected copic markers and got to town. I forgot how much fun you have with them when you haven’t used them in a long time.

Your Next Stamp is a company I recently discovered while shopping on Simon Says Stamp’s site and they are super cute. I fell in love with this little bear set as soon as I saw it. SOOO adorable.

I’m super excited to be a part of Jo’s Blogaversary Blog Hop. Jo has been a long time follower of my blog and I was so thrilled when she asked me to participate in celebrating her 4th Blogaversary. Happy 4th Jo!

Our challenge was to make anything but a card. So with my new space I thought it needed a sign to welcome visitors to my loft. Here’s what I made.

I started off with a blank wooden sign I picked up from Hobby Lobby and painted it with a coat of gesso. Each of the 4 boards are painted in different shades of my favorite color blue and then dry brushed with the base color from the board below it. I hope I’m describing that correctly.
Here are the colors I used: (the paints are all by Folkart) Sky Blue, Jamaican Sea, Deep Ocean Blue, and Cayman Blue.
The letters are white stickers from Hobby Lobby by the Paper Studio Company. I added a coat of matte medium to keep them from peeling off in the future. Plus I moved them so many times trying to  line it up perfectly that some of the corners lost their stickiness.
