Did I mention how much fun I’m having crafting again? I’ve got my mojo back. I will admit there are two cards I won’t be posting because they just don’t meet my standards and where the first two I did to get the juices flowing again. They are bad! I mean toss in the garbage, don’t ever look at them again bad!
Anyway…today’s card is the 3rd card I made after the two train wrecks I made. I was feeling the need to color and play with Gamsol. I don’t play with these nearly as much as I should and now that I whipped them out I will be playing some more.
The card base is a standard A2 card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) made out of Early Espresso Cardstock. I layered some pattern paper from the American Crafts XOXO paper pad with a bright pink cardstock that I can’t remember the name of 🙂
For the image I stamped it with Stazon ink (it won’t smear when coloring with Gamsol) on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I did a lot of experimenting and searching for skin tones and hair colors. I liked this one the best, but will be playing more with different styles.
Skin: Light Peach 927, Peach 939, Blush Pink 928;
Hair: Dark Umber 947; Sepia 948, Espresso 1099, Black 935
Heart: Magenta 940
Dress: Rose Pale 1018
Shoes: Dark Umber 947, Black 935
I die cut some sticky back cork with my MFT Blueprints 13 die for the little heart. I pulled the set out for one of the not so nice cards and just grabbed the little cluster of hearts from the set to die cut. You can use any little small heart you have to die cut the cork.
I think I might be on a bow kick. This is the 3rd card this week with a little bow.
To finish off the card I added some enamel dots on the little hearts and the bow. I had fun making this one.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card if you are interested in purchasing them for your own collection:
You absolutely have your mojo back. I love all the detail you have in this card. TFS! <3Kim
Such a cute card. I love this little girl. She reminds me of my oldest granddaughter. Thanks so much. I am loving seeing the supplies from other stamp companies. MFT, Lawn Fawn and Mama Elephant have such great stamps
Beautiful card!
So sweet! We are happy you're back! I would love to see a video of you making the cards. Thats how I learn!Penny
Fun is what crafting is supposed to be about, right? Your card is so sweet. It's wonderful to have you back.
I don't know how I've been missing your posts this month on my Blogger feed. I'm so glad you've got your mojo back, though. I know how hard it can be to lose it! I just read your update post from earlier this month. Wow–you have been busy! Glad to hear you are all well, and your dad is doing better. I love the coloring on this card. I was surprised that Staz-on will work with Gamsol. I've always used a dye ink, like Memento or even Hero Arts, when I've used Gamsol. I would have thought the Gamsol would have reacted with the Staz-on, since that ink is solvent-based. Learn something new every day, don't we?! 🙂 Anyway, glad you're back, and hopefully you'll be able to get back to doing videos again soon. I've really been missing those! 🙂 Take care! ~ Andrea
I love your designs and creations…glad to see you back. Beautiful card.

Christina, glad you're back and you're all doing well. Your cards are always awesome I doubt that they should go in the garbage, we are always our own worst critics. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
