Summer Project Lift Album

Hi Everyone,
Today I have some photos to share of my Project Life Album I’m working on for this summer.

I’m using a 6×8 Project Life Album that I picked up at Michael’s. I was there this past weekend and saw some of them are on clearance, go check it out 🙂 I think this will be a perfect and a more manageable album for me. The only other purchase I made for this was some page inserts and the photo sleeve fuse tool, everything else will come from my stash. I have lots and lots of PL cards to pick from, no need to buy more.

My plans for this album will be just to document our summer and how we spent the time together. We have a few trips and family gatherings planned for July so I can’t wait to start taking photos. I even picked up a new DSLR camera so I can take better photos than what I’ve been taking with my iPhone 6. I love my phone and how convenient it is to take quick photos but it’s nice to have a better camera to take better quality photos at those special moments.

Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool

Hi Everyone,
Today’s video shows how to use the Photo Sleeve Fuse tool by Becky Higgins.
I’m working on a 6×8 Project Life Album for the summer and have seen some really cute projects done with this tool. It’s a great addition to my craft stash.  and thought it would be a good addition to my craft stash. I would recommend you use a piece of glass and not a cutting mat like I did in the video. It will melt your mat 🙁

The Photo Sleeve Fuse tool is available by Beck Higgins and We R’ Memory Keepers. They are the same tool just different colors. I will tell you that little stand is a pain in the behind, it really is the only thing I do not like about it. I have tested out the cutting blade and that baby works like a charm to.

Father's Day Card

Hi All,
Hope you are having a great weekend.
Today I have a Father’s Day card to share. Since tomorrow is Father’s Day I figured it was a good time to post the card I made Scott this year. I wanted to wait since he’s a blog follower and I didn’t want him to see it until after he received it 😉

I’ve been playing around lately with my Silhouette and came across this #1Dad image I thought was cute. I die cut all the pieces with white cardstock and then used my Copics to color in the different layers. To give it a little sparkle I used my Clear Wink of Stella pen on the # and DAD.

For the window panel I was feeling lazy and didn’t want to drag out my Big Shot and dies and since I already had my Sil up and running I whipped it out super quick with a  rectangle and circle shape. I even added a little stitched edge. 
I backed the window with some pattern paper from October Afternoon’s Public Library collection and then added the #1Dad image. 
The Happy Father’s Day sentiment was created with some Simon Says CobbleStone ink and Lawn Fawn’s Harold ABCs stamps. I stamped it out on white CS and then banner cut both sides. 
The finishing touch was some splatters of Studio Calico Clay spray and wood veneers.
