Hi everyone,
I was planning on a Stampin’ On Friday video today, but this week has been so busy I didn’t get a chance to film. Early this morning I was able to get a quick video filmed for you with my February haul. Now I’m off to clean the house, do laundry and prep for Ethan’s birthday party tomorrow. Hi Everyone,
Hope you are doing well. Have I mentioned lately I’m sick of the cold weather and snow? It’s really having fun with my sinus’ 🙁 It is a great excuse to stay inside and play in my craft room though.

I’ve been having a ton of fun with my Cricut. Today’s card is done with any oldie but goodie Cricut Cartridge, Doodlecharms. This cartridge was actually my very first cartridge I purchase after getting my original Cricut. Ready for a video?

Hi Everyone,
Monday Cricut released it’s new version of Design Space and I’m in love with the new program. The improvements they made to the program are fantastic. I love how the images are bigger, I can more easily search cartridges and hello to the new section listing the categories. Swooning over here…Oh and did I mention they have an iPad app now that you can design and cut from. Oh yeah!

Here is a video on some of my favorite features to Design Space 2.0. I absolutely love it 🙂

Just a reminder that Design Space only works with the Cricut Explore and the new Cricut Explore Air that has the built in Bluetooth.  It’s a fabulous program and the Cricut Explore cuts with amazing detail. I’ve always been a fan of Cricut and they’ve certainly made some great improvements over this past year with their products.

Hi Everyone,
Happy Friday. What a winter. Ethan’s had so many school closings and delays it’s crazy. We normally don’t have this many, but wow! we are packing them on this year. Last week there was only one full day of school, the rest was either closed or delayed for weather. Today was a delay for below zero temps. It’s been a wild winter so far and this weekend it’s gonna be even wilder with even more below zero temps and a little snow. For those of you who live in the Northeast you’ve had it much worse than we have. I hope you are all doing well and staying warm in your craft rooms.

I’ve been working on some projects around the house. Right after Christmas we painted our entire first floor (dining room, living room, and entry). Last week I did work in our master bedroom, and cleaned our master bath from top to bottom. This weekend it’s Ethan’s turn to have his room ripped apart and finally painted. He’s turning 13 in two weeks and it’s time to update his little man cave. I pinned a few room ideas and he picked the color scheme he liked best. Grey walls and red accents. Right after school we hit Home Depot and he selected his color. I’ve never witnessed such a quick selection of paint before, less than two minutes…I wish it was that easy for me when I’m selecting colors. I’ll post pictures on Facebook and Instragram when it’s all done, if you are interested. Monday is a make-up snow day, so while he’s at school Scott and I will be working in his room.

Enough blabbering, now on to today’s video.

Hi Everyone
Hope you are having a great week.
Thought I would squeeze in one more Valentine’s day card before Saturday. I’ve been playing with my copic markers and distress inks a lot lately. The background for the hedgehogs (Lawn Fawn) I did with tumbled glass and peeled paint distress inks using a blending tool. Creates a cute little scene for theses cute little love birds (or hogs). [supplies are linked below at the bottom of this blog post]

The card measures 3-1/4″. I used MFT square stitched dies to create the base and layer with the background for the hedgehogs. To finish it off I added the little heart that comes in the LF set with some glossy accents for dimension.

Super simple and a I had a lot of fun playing.

Hi Everyone,
Happy snow day 🙂 We are just finishing up a snowstorm. I think we have about 8″ on top of the 6″ we already have. We are all plowed/shoveled out and ready to go…when we’re ready to venture outside again that is.

I’ve been playing with watercoloring. It’s something I struggle with as I’m always wanting it to look perfect, I have to realized you just never know what it will look like until it’s all dried. I’m working on it though. Here is a card I made using distress inks as a watercolor for a background on a tag and another layer. [supplies are linked below at the bottom of this blog post]
