Hi Everyone,
Welcome back to video #2 in my craft room re-do series. As I’m posting this video I’m about 90% done with my room and have a few small things that still need to get done.
In today’s video we are talking about the plan along with some tips and tricks for preparing to do a room re-do or setting it up for the first time. I hope you enjoy today’s video.
Here is a picture of my plan and how I’m setting up my room.
To create the layout I measured my room and then used Raymour & Flanigan’s site to setup the furniture. Down the bottom of the site is a room planner link that is a great resource for planing your space. You just need to know the size of your room and then measure your furniture to get it to fit.
Craft Room Series #1: The Overview
Hello Christina- from Prescott, AZ you are always so helpful. I took over my daughters bdrm a few years ago when she bought her own home, and moved out of state (so sad) and Now…she will be home next month so we can do her first baby shower (so exciting) however now I need to kind of clean up my craft room so when they stay here the crafty rood is not so cluttery. LOL….I have one of those nice Scrap Boxes…however I just don't know how this happened, but it overflowed into the rest of the crafty room as a result of stores going out of business and me buying a lot LOL.. and the walk in closet…well you can take 3 steps….it's so full. mostly of empty storage containers that I can't part with. which brings me to my issue…I have THE worse time purging. I wish I could get past the thought that oh…I may need this even if it's been sitting for 3 years….How can I get past this? I really need to pack things away for her visit in Aug and at Christmas…but I know I need to purge at the same time. any suggestions? Thanks bunches
Your plan looks great! I love the open space you are going to have, and that antique chair will be so pretty. I loved the tips about using what we have instead of buying new (have you been talking to my husband? LOL) things. Can't wait to see the “new” room ! BethAnn M.
Good luck, Christina!!!
Your timing is perfect. My craft/office space is in major need of a redo. I've gotten into art journaling lately, ( am already a scrap booker and card maker) so that means I've got a lot more supplies to store. I have a week off next month so I really look forward to seeing how you do your room redo. Have watched and thoroughly enjoyed your videos for a few years but this is the first time I've posted a comment.
I am so excited for you. Your plan looks so uncluttered and open. I love the idea of the sitting corner with the old chair and table and lamp. That just sounds like the perfect place to put your feet up and sip a tea. I look forward to your next step.
Often we hear experts on television that report a specific stock is gonna soar and now is the time to buy. The truth is, people join MLM opportunities due to who introduced them.I have observed my share of scams, and have in fact done a good job avoiding being taken for a sucker and I'm here to share with you, Ameriplan is just not a scam.
