Hi Everyone,
As mentioned in my Vlog on Monday I’m starting a Craft Room Video Series. Today’s video I’m showing you an overview of my room on how it looks right now. I touch a little bit on my plans for my room and what I’m going to be doing. I’ll be back Monday with video #2 which shows my actual plan along with some tips and tricks on doing a room redo or setting up your new craft space. Hope you enjoy today’s videos.

Christina, did you ever consider getting a workbox from Scrapbox.com. I have the workbox and the paper tower. WOW, between those two pieces, my craft room is completely organized. I do have some ikea rails on the wall for my most used punches. I also have a bench with storage cubes under it for random machines, computer paper and odds and ends. I keep my Big Shot Pro and my Silhouette on top. I love my craft room set up. Unfortunately, I haven't been in it much since we just adopted two rescue dogs that are taking up most of my time. Hope this suggestion helps. Linda
Looks as though you will be having a lot of fun rearranging your supplies! I can't wait to see the progress as you work your way through; it seems so recent that you just re-did your other room and closet. I always find something I forgot I had when I go through my stuff. Have fun. BethAnn M.
Christina–Thanks for this video series. It could not have come at a better time for me! About 2 months ago my husband started a total redo of my home office/craft room. We decided to go with upper and lower cabinets and a countertop. It is slow going (we have a 3 1/2 year old), but in the end it will be worth it. Our set up sounds very much like what you are working towards too–craft/office/sitting space. A few areas I am struggling with: I have WAY to much stuff–how do you determine (when organizing) what you will keep? What are some storage ideas for small embellishments? I will have lots of cabinet space, but how do I organize within the drawers/cabinets? How do you stay motivated!? Thank you again for sharing!!! Can't wait to see your end result and Scott's video! 🙂
That was fun to watch. I always enjoy seeing what you're up to. lol My craft room is full and wall-to-wall with a long table in the middle that I constantly have to clean off…never totally. I gave up on cleaning up between projects….most of the time I'm into mini books and watching lots of tutorials. Speaking of mini books, when you got your new website, what happened to the mini books you did a long time ago? I was looking for that recently on your blog. ..Looking at your craft room helps me to see more where I need to improve….got so much stuff that it's hard and I'm spending too much time trying to get more organized instead of crafting more. …Anxious to see your next video.
This is terrific. I am looking forward to seeing your craftroom transformation. My craft space is shared with the dining room and about half of my supplies are in the garage. I am always looking for stylish ways to make crafting functional in a limited space. I remember there was a time when I didn't want anything on my desk, but of course realized that also limited my creativity and the amount of time I was willing to spend getting everything out and putting it back again. So….even thought it's a bit more crowded, I do find myself moseying over to my space often to see what I ca n come up with. I don't have a good solution for a few items such as punches and other items as I am out of wall space, so any ideas there would be amazing. Thank you for taking the time to share!
Wow Christina I remember your first video on your craft room and when you got your glass desk…time is flying by for sure….I just put in two huge bookcase (from a local bookstore) I 'm having problems with my 12 x 12 paper pads…I don't know how to store them or the best solution for them….anything is better than what I have now…just laying on the shelves…tfs
Every time you do an organizational video or the redo on your craft room I want to move all my stuff from my two areas in the basement to an empty bedroom upstairs. Can't wait to see the rest of your videos. By the way, how big is your new craft room?
