December Daily Cover

December 9, 2011

 Happy Friday 🙂

I finally started my December Daily book.
For those not familiar with the December Daily check out Ali Edwards…I love this idea and even though I’m 9 days behind I’ve been journaling and taking photos like a crazy women. Last night Ethan even asked me what my daily was for today…I love that Scott and Ethan both have gotten involved in my little project. I plan to start working on my pages this weekend and get caught up.
Here are a two more pictures of my cover…
This took me three days to decide what to do. I had in my head I wanted to go black & white with red, but my thought was mostly white with touches of red. I was just so frustrated I gave up…I needed a fresh start with this and last night this is what I came up with…
I hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Advent Calendar

December 5, 2011

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful fun filled weekend 🙂 We took Ethan to see Phineus and Ferb Live (Phineus and Ferb is a TV show on the Disney Channel for those of you not familiar with it). We laughed so much and had such a great time together…

A while back I gave you a little peek at the advent calendar I was working one. I’m a few days late having it done but I finally finished it…I kept the embellishments on it really simple.

Here are a few pictures of the finished advent calendar.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Home for the Holiday Layout

December 1, 2011

Hi Everyone,
I’ve been in this crafting funk lately, I think it’s because all my creative juices have been going to my project at work and I just haven’t had any left…Even my last few cards I haven’t been in love with…
Tuesday night I came in my craft room and saw my Echo Park Season’s Greeting collection sitting on my desk and said “Tina (that’s me…my family calls me Tina and not Christina) look at that collection is just sitting there waiting for you to do your last 2010 layout with…get crackin”
So I did…
I started playing with the papers first, figuring out how I wanted to lay it out and then I did my photo collage. I found that helped me get going and really started to get the juices flowing.

When I did my journaling I went with #’ing the photos so I can say who was in each photo. I cut those cute little #’s with my Silhouette. I used a font called Vaguely Repulsive, I have no clue where I got that font from, but they are super tiny and cut like butter.

The gathered ribbon was inspired by a Paper Trey Ink Monday video I just watched the other day. I’ve done this technique before in a single row, but never double. I love the look. The satin row needs to be sewn, but I have to wait until 12/25 to do that. My older sewing machine has been giving me major trouble lately and I really needed a new one. I was reading someone’s blog the other day (sorry I can’t remember who it was but I think Kristina Werner may also have this machine) and they picked up the Brother CS6000i machine. Found a great deal on Amazon so I asked Scott to get it for me for Christmas.

Home for the holiday was also cut on my Silhouette. Here is the cut I purchased from Silhouette America’s online image store.
Well that’s all for today. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Supplies I used to make today’s layout are listed below 🙂
Hugs to all,

Supplies (note: Silhouette SD is no longer available so I linked below to the new Silhouette Cameo, oh how I want that Cameo….)

I'm absolutely thrilled to share an exciting creative project that I recently completed for @teamspellbinders . This particular piece was crafted using the beautiful and intricate dies from this month's Stitched Die Club collection. After experimenting with different possibilities, I decided to make my creation into a decorative tag.
