YouTube and Blog Stuff

July 26, 2011

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to give you a little heads up. I’m going to be doing some cleaning up on my blog and You Tube channel over the next week or so.

You may notice my YouTube video #’s go down, I’m just cleaning up some old stuff…like giveaways, kits I was selling etc.

On my blog you’ll see some stuff rearranged and stuff added (lol I don’t know what stuff I’m adding, but thought I would toss that in there). Hopefully I’ll be making it easier for you to find videos and tutorials.

For all my new visitors…Join my site (it’s the little button on the right)…Some of my long time followers will tell you, every 1000 subscribers I do a “My favorite things” giveaway and I share a few of my favorite craft supplies that I’ve been playing with recently…We’re only 150 subscribers away from another giveaway….

Hugs to all and pardon my dust…

CWC (7/25/11) Thank U.

July 25, 2011

Happy Monday,
I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was a busy one for me with lots of family time. Saturday we spend the day at the lake and it was great to get away from all the heat and humidity and do some swimming and relaxing. This card is going to my mother-in-law for hosting Saturday’s birthday party for my hubby. Anyway, I sat down in my room last night around 7 and couldn’t come up with anything to make for today’s card. I knew I needed to make a thank you card, but that was about it. Finally an hour later I decided to play with my embossing folders….

Amazing, Wonderful, Beautiful Layout

July 21, 2011

Hi Everyone
WOW is it ☀hot! ☀hot! hot☀! I normally don’t mind the heat too much, but this is gross!

Today I wanted to share my latest layout with you. Being the only girl in the house I don’t get to do many girlie layouts, so this was a treat ❤. This is a picture of me and my beautiful niece from last summer.

The pattern paper is by Simple Stories (100 Days of Summer), I used some other odds and end papers I had in my stash, and stamped amazing, wonderful, beautiful (Ali Edwards stamp) as my title. I also cut up some trim I purchased a few months ago at Hobby Lobby as an accent on the page.
I used two different  Martha Stewart punches for the butterflies and put a little button clip on the tab that says beautiful.

I hope you all have a great day,
Stay cool!

Summer Card Camp Week 4-Color Combo Challenge

July 19, 2011

I can’t believe its week 4 of summer card camp already. WOW it flew by….
This week’s challenge is right up my alley…Yep Green and Teal….YUMMY!
Over the weekend I started making a card for my boss at work and could you believe it went right with this weeks color challenge. Marie (that’s my boss) has been giving me some awesome cooking tips for cooking some of my newly grown veggies from my garden. She let me borrow a cookbook with some great recipes in it and I wanted to give her a little thank you card when I return the book.

I used the apron from the Savory Cricut Lite cartridge and cut off the strings to add my seam binding. I used my Gypsy to hide some of the other cuts on the base of the apron and then made my own little pocket. I also added the satin ruffle at the bottom and then went a little bling happy…lol
That’s all for today!!
Have a great day (it’s gonna be a hot one) 🙂
Hugs,

Supplies:
Cricut: Savory Lite Cartridge, Cricut Expression 2, Gypsy
Cardstock: Spring Moss (Paper Trey Ink)
Pattern Paper: Ducks in a Row (October Afternoon), Campfire (October Afternoon)
Stamps: Mixed Messages (Paper Trey Ink)
Ribbon: Seam Binding, Ruffle Trim
Misc: Recollections Gems, Sakura White Gel Pen

Seam Binding Tutorial

July 18, 2011

One of my favorite things is seam binding. I just love it…It’s not too bulky and works great on just about any project. The best part is I can dye them to be any color I want.

Here is a quick video on how to dye your own seam binding and different types of inks you can use

Watch below | Watch on You Tube

I ordered my seam binding from Sew True.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday
Hugs,
