Hi Everyone,
Started making Christmas cookies yesterday and thought I would share on of my favorite and easy to make Christmas time cookie recipes.
I can’t remember where I found this recipe, but I’ve been making them since Scott and I have been married. They are super easy and if you like Heath candy bars, you’ll love this cookie.
Ingredients:
1 pkg Cinnamon Graham Crackers
1 Stick Margarine
1 Stick Butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
*Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, cover with single layer graham crackers.
*In a saucepan combine margarine, butter, and brown sugar until melted.
*Bring to boil and cook 2 minutes (be sure to stir constantly will cooking)
*Pour mixture over graham crackers and sprinkle with pecans
*Bake for 12 minutes.
*Cool completely and break apart.
OOH this sounds fantastic, will give it a try, thanks for the recips!!
Mmmm…
I make almost the same thing only I use saltines instead of graham crackers. I'll have to try your version.
Sounds yummy… TFS!
I guess it's a good thing I'm diabetic, or I'd weigh 400 pounds! lol
Sure sounds yummy!
Yummmmmmmm
I make one like this using Club crackers. I have also sprinkled crushed candy canes on them instead of nuts. I can't wait to try your recipe. TFS.
Oh this recipe sounds like I can alter to make Gluten-Free by using the GF graham crackers…Does this recipe REALLY call for both a stick of butter AND a stick of margarine?Valerie Martinjeffnval@hotmail.com
