Cards with Christina-Video

July 30, 2009

Happy Thursday,
I’m so excited, tomorrow is the CK convention. I have a mental list of what I want to look for. I’ve been watching Jennifer McQuire’s “Thinking Inking” videos on Two Pea’s You Tube channel and I think I really want to try some of her inking techniques. Amazing! Hopefully today will go by fast!
I pre-ordered the new Gypsy last night for the Cricut. It doesn’t come out until later in the fall, but I’m really excited about this new gadget. I can create anywhere, at work (on lunch and breaks of course), in the car, at the lake, oh the possibilities.

For today’s card and video: I just got Graphically Speaking cartridge about a 2 weeks ago. I never really felt I needed that cartridge, but once I got it and started flipping through the manual I starting thinking of all the great titles for scrapbook pages that I can make.

Enough of my babbling..here is today’s video:

supplies: Paper Trey Ink: Saddle Stitch Ocean Tides ribbon and Ocean Tides cardstock, linen thread, Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge, K&Co Greenhouse pattern paper.

July 28, 2009

Wow I just noticed that this is my 201st post. I’ve been blogging since May of 2008 and I love sharing my creations with you. Maybe I’ll have a little something to share after my stop at the CK Convention this weekend:) I love sharing and celebrating!

One more card using the “Everyday Button Bits” stamp from PTI. How sick are you hearing me say PTI? I used kraft and basic black cardstock from Stampin’ Up! some linen thread and this cute bicycle paper is from K&Co.

Happy Crafting,

Birthday Balloons

July 24, 2009

Today is my darling husband’s birthday. Happy Birthday Honey! I Love You!!!!

Today’s card is made using very vanilla Stampin’ Up! cardstock for the base of the card, I then used three different patterns from K&Co’s paper pack Wild Raspberry. I also used the Effervescence punch by Fiskars to punch out the scallop edge. I used my sewing machine to sew the zigzap pattern and added some dark chocolate PTI satin ribbon. The stamp with the button balloons is a from Paper Trey Ink’s new stamp set for the month of July called Everyday Button Bits. Oh-La-LA that is a great stamp set. Love It!

Cards with Christina 7/23/09

July 23, 2009

I was so excited to find another K&Co. paper pack. Oh how I love K&Co. I’m amazed how well Paper Trey Ink coordinates with this pattern paper. After I made the video and took all the pictures I added a crochet flower and brad to the ribbon of this card. It was one of those times when I thought I was done and about a day later decided it needed more.

Only 7 more days until the Valley Forge CK convention. I haven’t allowed myself to go to AcMoore or Michaels this month because of the convention. I need to save my money….OK I confess I have been to both stores this month, I’m so weak:(

Supplies: Ocean Tide and Lemon Tart CS-Paper Trey Ink, Lemon Tart Ribbon-Paper Trey Ink, K&Co. Lucky Flowers pattern paper, Cricut cartridge-Storybook, Fiskar Corner Rounder, Crochet flower.

Wednesday Update and a card

July 22, 2009

Wow this week is taking forever. It’s one of those weeks that I feel is out of control with so much to do and it’s taking forever to pass. Yikes.

I did get a few minutes this morning to craft and post a card, so this is making me feel a little better :)-

Today’s card is made with Stampin’ Up! Chocolate Chip and Whisper White Cardstock, K&Co pattern paper by Amy Butler (Lucky Flowers) Paper Trey Ink Hibiscus Burst Cardstock and Satin Ribbon, Apron Lace Fiskars border punch and the stamped image is from Hero Arts-Who Loves You.

Cards with Christina-Video 7/19/09

July 19, 2009

I have a real simple Thank You card video today. It’s so easy and you can use whatever image you want to make this card. I bee buzzing, a training cho’ing, or a simply butterfly would look great too. If you don’t have a stamp for the stitching you can just use a black ultra thin tipped marker and make your own stitches.

Update: here is the link to the stamp set that has the stitching stamp.

Hope you enjoy.

Yeah-It’s Friday.

July 17, 2009

Hi All,
I know I’ve been bad with updating my blog. I’ve been busy since we’ve gotten back from vacation.

Ethan loves working on the computer and at 7 he really does know more than I do. I can’t get that kid to read a story book for anything, but give him an instructional book on computers and you can’t get it out of his hands. Here’s what Ethan taught me last night on Photoshop Elements. I always love photo’s that have the edges feathered and this is one of my favorite photo’s of “E” at Epcot.

Anyway more about crafting….
Did you see the new device coming out from Provocraft that works with your Cricut? It’s called the Gypsy and Provo has made some great videos as promo’s for the device. Check them out here. They are keeping how it works a secret, but from what I did read it works with the Cricut as a handheld Design Studio and you can upload your cartridges to it. I can’t wait to see what it does. I’m sure I’ll be buying it.

Happy Crafting!
